Re: Hello World

Nahhh, 3 x 3TB...9TB...it's awesome

10TB NAS, very nice!

I had an idea to run a file server / TV server / PBX on a file server, but when I installed them in my Windows gaming PC, and neither airflow nor noise suffered, I said: "what the heck, let's keep em here!"

Welcome Kim!

Welcome to Lebgeeks!!

3 8Mbps line is 24Mbps, which is around 3MB/s... not 24MB/s... point being, what exactly do you get 'need' 50GB a day ? work or entertainment ? i have 30Mbps unlimited and never found a way to always keep it up

I challenge you to an online chess game

Again, welcome to Lebgeeks :)

Re: Hello World

@yasamoka

yeah NAS storage for personal usage is nice and considered geeky a bit. my PC is equipped with 3x 21" monitors and of course alot of ram (some 16GB), heavy duty is assigned for my home server( 32GB ram of course, SSD's for OSs and NAS for local storage). Of course i dont use Linux on my personal pc because it sucks, as remote is great. well i consider my self a Geek is that right?

Hello Ngel

you are right 24mbps stands for 3MiB/s is not a big deal the big deal is to keep it up from 12am to 7am. torrents done a great job to keep it up with the help of dedicated server located in Sweden. and scheduled tasks helped a lot
these downloads mostly for entertainment and a little bit work, who needs 1080 original quality work:P maybe if i had 1GB/s i will not have to download anything.
so do you live in Lebanon?
Man i feel this forum is like family, aah great Lebanese Geeks
Challenge accepted! but when(i prefer to be 2 days later, im working on a project)? and what if won?
