Re: Internet in Lebanon - General Questions

called Terranet, The rep assured me they have unlimited nights, they are still working on it. He also said these plans will go into effect July 1 not August. However,  to change plans we need to wait until july 15. Anyone else has any input?

I think IDM's plans are more exciting and flexible than terranet's. But terranet's 2mbs 70gbytes plan is pretty interesting

Waiting for Cyberia plans. Hope they will be as exciting as IDM ones.

I think we lost around 40~50 ms in lebanon out of the 100 ms latency. The other 50 is normal loss due to the distance to europe... But then again sometimes I get that same number pinging Cyprus or Syria which makes no sense to me at all...

You can change your Cyberia plan now if you log in to your account, my old plan was 1M-10G, they gave a choice of 2M-40G for 15.99 and 2M-50G for 24.99 and 2M Unlimited. If I want more speed I have to apply next month for a speed upgrade and only I have these 3 to choose from. I went for the 2M-40G for now.

Re: Internet in Lebanon - General Questions

So only Sodetel is left. It's frustrating lol.
I tried buying a recharge cart but the retailer told me that all the carts sales (for sodetel) are frozen.
I called sodetel they told me that the carts will be changed soon. I asked when, they said that they have no idea.
Since this is lebanon i do not trust that the new carts will be ready before the end of the month, so I am not sure what will happen.

For 10 G extra you are paying 9$, choose the 40G if you don't need the extra 10G.

I called and they said that the ministry is allowing them these offers now and if you want higher speed you have to apply next month and it will be active in August.

Re: Internet in Lebanon - General Questions

I saw the Cyberia 4mbps plans while upgrading today
Don't remember the exact prices but it was something around this:
4mbps unlimited ~$75
4mbps 50GB ~$35
There is one more that I don't remember

Re: Internet in Lebanon - General Questions

Question: when i call IDM technical support, they tell me how much speed my CO can handle. If i called Ogero techincal support and expressed my intention to switch to their service would they know how much speed they can give me? or would i be gambling? please let me know if anyone has tried doing this...
