  • Coming to Lebanon: Galaxy S2 and HTC Sensation!

checkout this comparison in the battery section, the GSII shows a real good performance i know that those are lab environment results and they don't represent real life performance, but they are good.
and maybe you are enjoying using your phone too much Ziad. :P
Kassem wroteCan't we replace TouchWiz with Sense 3.0?
Get yourself HTC Incredible S. I'm going to wait until amhaz has it.
Where is amhaz located (branches and stuff) and does anyone have a phone number or possibly a website?
By tomorrow morning... i'll get my hands on a Samsung Galaxy SII...
I'll write a review later in the afternoon :)

@Ziad... 675$ only ? - Are you sure about that ?

Yup. 675$ only :).

cybermaxx, he has many branches but the best one is in Bir Al Abed. It also has the cheapest prices. For example, phones from the Beirut Mall branch usually cost around 20-30$ more. If I am not mistaken, the shop is here: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Beirut,+Lebanon&aq=0&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=58.555544,122.958984&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Beirut,+Lebanon&ll=33.858023,35.511809&spn=0.001902,0.004774&z=19. Should be around half way between Bir Al Abed street and the Hadi Hassan Nasrallah highway.

Thanks! I'll be getting the HTC sensation as soon as it's released there, simply due to the firm exterior. I do not anticipate watching 700$ go down the drain if my mobile falls off a table!
sensation now available for 750$, i am sure the price will go down in the few coming weeks :)
Oh My God! 750$!!
Yet another reason to get the SGS2
sensation is available ? what about the death grip issue ? someone test it and replyyyyy!
i really hope that we don't have this issue here in Lebanon because i still prefer the sensation over the SG2!

and btw 750$ is a lot , it should be around 650$...
@Fadi007 it's wifi death grip, not network signal so i think it's worldwide
the SGS2 is quite cool, that being said however i'd still prefer the Sense UI of the Sensation than the touchwiz of the SGS2

A friend of mine already got the SGS2 (poor battery life, like really bad)
death grip vs battery life ..... mmm i will chose the SGSII
m.sabra wrotedeath grip vs battery life ..... mmm i will chose the SGSII
having a case can fix the death grip issue, from what i hear at least anyway.
Nop, GSM Arena tried a case and it worsen the death grip, putting it on a table will kill the wifi too!!
As for the SGS2 battery, you should always wait 1 to 3 months before having full capacity, sometimes you can gain 3x more juice after that period of time (it was my case with nokia 5800). Rooting and flashing a good rom + kernel can help alot too.
My friend's DHD had a poor battery life of 24h but now it has 2 good days thanks to kernels and roms
The phone is barely lasting one full day of regular use. Today I disabled Auto Brightness, Packet Data (since I don't use GPRS), and set network mode to "GSM Only" instead of auto. I also disable Wifi throughout most of the day already. I am waiting to see if these changes improve the battery life.
mmm i don't know why are you having this problem since almost all reviews are saying that the SGSII battery is good maybe you are using applications too much (specially games)
From what I understood you have to update to KE8 firmware, KE7 is a huge battery drainer
I have the sgs2 and my batterie last for 4 days with the root+kernel+overclocked to 1.5 GHz dualcore
And guys if you didn't know there's an app manager than could make you save more than 2 days of batterie if you just kill the apps after using them
amhaz got the sensation or what ? priceeeeeee ?
