Called Amhaz yesterday and NO they don't have the Sensation.
So the posted price of 750$ is fake or from another expensive source like Khoury cell.
Expect a drop in price for SGS2 tomorrow at Amhaz ;)

i didn't notice that! khoury cell has the s2 b 700$ but he refuse to give me the sensation price on the phone.
if you know amhaz or you know someone to call there can you ask him about when the sensation will be available. he is been telling tomorrow for the past 3 days now...and i hate the witing

it's really confusing both phone are great, the sensation is cheaper and has a better UI,but who wants a death grip in his phone ? in shooting video SGSII is really better (i know both have a 8mp camera with HD video shooting but SGSII use MP4 whil the Sensation use 3GP and the SGSII has a higher bitrate also) and if you read some battery review you will find that the SGSII battery life is better than the snsation, the CPU and the GPU of the S2 performs better too according to benchmarks and the browser of the S2 is better and faster too, in the other hand the Sensation has a better speaker (well it's not a major difference between he and the samsung but he still wins) and a better GPS receiver (in the review that i read A-GPS was turned off in both devices).(i dropped the RAM and Storage because we already discussed that)

Sensation is better than SGS2 for :
-Higher resolution screen
-Build quality (aluminium vs plastic)
-90% of xda devs willing to work on it
-No lottery for battery and wifi (some SGS2 come with weak wifi or battery)
SGS2 is better:
-Screen is readable in any angle or sunlight (important in Lebanon)
-Speaker is slightly louder
-Already Rooted for custom roms
-Light and slim for pockets
SGS2 has known hardware problems:
-GPS is weak
-Yellow tint on the left of the screen
Sensation:
-Death grip (though many end users never complain)

i didn't see anyone complaining about the S2 wif.
The battery problem was never reported in any review or battery test but even if you had it, you can fix it by a software update.
the GPS of the S2 is not a "problem" you should class it in "Sensation is better than SGS2" because it just wasn't accurate as the sensation with A-GPS turned off (5m range for sensation compared to 15m for SGS2) but when A-GPS is turned on you get 100% accurate position in both phones
you can't consider the yellow tint as a fact because lot of users reported that they didn't have this problem and even if you have it the only chance to view it is in a complete dark room, super black image, minimum brightness and even in those conditions it's hardly visible.and others claims it's like the one in the Iphone 4 ( yes Iphone 4 have a yellow tint) which was caused by the glue used in manufacturing and disappeared by itself after a serval time and others says that the test page given by XDA only works on the default browser so they consider it a rumor.
Death Grip in the sensation is the real lottery some reports that it's a huge problem and others declare that's there is no any sort of even a weak signal in the sensation.
but you must know that rumors are following all Smartphones and lot of people claims that those rumors are made by companys like Samsung,Apple,Sony,HTC,Nokia....like the purple tint of th N8, Pink tint of the SGSII camera, Screen burn of the SGSII (which is very ridiculous and sorry for that only idiots can believe it and if you want i can explain you why)
so let's not merge real problems with rumors because if you are going to list rumors it's an endless list for both phone
EDIT: Screen burn can happen but it's very very very hard to happen just to be accurate. if you need more explanation just ask

Screen burn happens only if using the screen non-stop for hours, which will never happen with me :)
I will go to Amhaz boukra morning and try both phones, it's the best thing to do, I just pray so he will have both in the showroom and let me use them

wow i love lebgeeks :P usually when i talk with people about such subjects like screen burn and other technical things they went like "huh what the hell you are talking about" with weird faces that say "i am not understanding any shit of this." so it's nice to have a community of lebanese geeks like me. :)
and screen burn will never happen with me also i didn't stick with a static image for longer than 1 min plus some sites kept the phone at 50% brightness with static image and screen turned on for 11 hours and no they didn't get a screen burn.

Screen burn can happen with any Amoled screen.
My old N1 was amoled and never had this problem

i think am going with the sensation just because of xda support, there are already roms for the sensation that improve battery life and performance .

i remember that every samsung galax S ( the first one ) that i saw have a yellow tint all over the screen! well i saw 3 to 4 handset not that much... i don't know if that problem will continue on galaxy s2.
about screen burn it is a common thing with plasma technology and it's very rare on AMOLED screens , and none existing on LCDs...
well i hope someone test an "amhaz" sensation about the death grip issue , if it exist or it's a minor one then of course i will go with the sensation. but if it's severe. then i will opt for samsung galaxy s2 or even htc incredible S ...

Don't forget Sensation has not ROOT, so you can't use roms till they unlock it.
They will surelly unlock it but God knows when! Can be sunday night or in 2 months

Fadi007 just want to correct something for you OLED is even more susceptible to burn-in than plasma.(source Wikipedia).
and this is not something that you must care a lot about because the scenario of you are browsing or viewing some photos or watching a video and suddenly BAM you screen is burned will never ever happen if you want to burn your screen on purpose it will took you months using full brightness and a static bright image displayed on your phone screen for a long period.
this problem can be eliminated by turning auto screen turn off on. (for phones)
and for TV you can activate PixelShifting or Screen saver in media player mode. and game mode when playing a game.
Screen burn is very rare problem that can happen only in shops like McDonald or other shops that uses Plasma Display for their Menu without any protection
and for mobiles it will only happen if you tried to make it

I got the s2 yesterday..rooted it and installed arabised rom.i too was between the sensation ans the s2, finally i am glad i got the s2 because arabic is a big deal for me and better not to wait for htc arabised roms since there are many available for the s2 already. Glad i made the right choice at the last moment..:)
