  • Coming to Lebanon: Galaxy S2 and HTC Sensation!

I also saw that laying it on a flat surface ( desk , book) would also decrease the signal!!
By the way, Amhaz got the Galaxy S 2 yesterday. I went there today and bought one. He still has a couple of devices there.

Price?
and what about the sensation is it available at amhaz and what is the price ?
I didn't ask about the sensation, but I don't think they currently have it.
is it the AMOLED model ( Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 ) or
the Super-LCD model ( Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9103) ???

i hope it is the I9100 model! because the main selling point of this cell is the AMOLED screen!
Fadi007, it's the AMOLED one.
thanks Ziad87 , if you can please give us a little review about it !
is it worth it to spend 1 million LL on it ? lol
can anyone please ask about the sensation
Geez the price is sweet :)
I thought it will be 730$ but anyway it will decrease the first 3 weeks.
Better wait a little more and get it at 600$ because anyway interesting roms like CM7 are still not ready, Sensation could be a good deal after all too with full xda support warrenty.
The super amoled +, very nice 8mp and loud speaker are 2 great advantages over the Sensation which is only a hair better than DHD
So far the phone seems good. I am still getting used to it since it's my first Android phone. The screen is awesome and has very good colors, contrast and viewing angles. The device is very light, much lighter than I expected. The back cover feels nice when holding the phone. However, the cover is a pain to remove and put back. The whole process is tedious and makes you feel like you are going to break the phone in apart :P. I am still getting used to TouchWiz though I think I would prefer the stock Gingerbread interface. Hopefully installing custom launchers can help me get rid of some of the annoying TouchWiz features.

it's gonna take more than that to convince me splashing 700$ on a phone lol...
let's wait a while and see...

Yeah, true. What phone do you currently have?
maybe it's just a video made by HTC because all reviews says that the sensation have a serious death grip issue with the wifi antenna, and even if the video wasn't fake be sure that if you want to buy the sensation from Amhaz you will not get the middle east version.
i don't know but the benchmark results of the GSII are way better than the sensation and the screen is better too + there is no death grip issue or even a rumor about this in the GSII so i think i am going with the GSII
Can't we replace TouchWiz with Sense 3.0?
It's very hard to port Sense 3.0 to SGs2 because it needs HTC signed hardwares.
As for me I will wait next week to wait a good drop in price of SGS2
Well, it's not really fair (at least for some of "graphical" benchmarks) to compare Sensation to SGS2 because the Sensation has a higher resolution screen. So it's natural when it comes to benchmarks that measure FPS or similar quantifiers that the SGS2 will win.

As for the phone so far, I like it very much. Samsung changed a couple of apps. Some them have nice new features while others seem useless. I replaced the TouchWiz launcher with Go Launcher EX for now. No major issues with the phone up until now. Though battery life does not seem as good as some reviews initially reported.
