yasamoka wrotethere's a button 2 keys away from "M"...use it please :P
i don't think that we are in a grammar or punctuation lesson :P
And i agree with you all,Sense is better than the Touchwizz, and the Aluminium body is better than the plastic one, but you cant give so much advantage to the Htc Sensation because the SGSII got user interface updates and the time/weather widget of HTC, is no more an advantage because Samsung and Accuweather created a wallpaper for the SGSII that show time and weather it looks like the Sense widget but in a bigger scale. And i don't think the plastic body will make the phone look cheap with this huge SAmoled+ display and the thickness of the phone the SGSII looks very luxurious .
and this is what i have found online about the SGSII with a SLCD it seems it's still rumored

Did any of you called amhaz to check when will they have the SGSII?
Fadi007
anyone knows how much the GSII and sensation will cost here in Lebanon ? hope below 700$ , i don't want to spend a fortune on a phone lol
vegetaleb
Following the Amhaz experience I would say:
-SGS2 = 700$ first week, 660$ 2nd week and 620$ 3rd week
-Sensation = 730$ first week, 680$ 2nd week, 650$ 3rd week, 620$ 1 month after
So just wait 3 weeks or you will loose lot of money

i went to amhaz in beirut mall yesterday and i asked the guy there a few questions about gs2 and sensation , there was one answer : " I don't know ".
vegetaleb
The Beirut mall showroom is bulls**t
All they know is nokia and iphone
The sgs2 AND the Sensation will be released in shops in Asia between 8 and 9th June, so add 10 to 15 days to be here
m-sabra
go to "beir el abed" branch of amhaz the prices are cheaper than beirut mall branch plus it's the original branch so they may have more info
Fadi007
a friend of mine bought htc desire from an amhaz reseller and it has no arabic... another friend bought htc desire HD from "class" and it has arabic, i think class have a better version of htc than amhaz or am missing something...
2. Writing Guidelines
Always post in proper English and use a spell+grammar checker. This means, no SMS-style language, no elementary spelling mistakes and no excessive punctuation.
In case you feel obliged to post in Arabic, make sure you use Arabic characters, you can use tools like Yamli, Google Ta3reeb or Microsoft Maren to make the job easier. Writing Arabic in latin characters (Akala el waladou al toufaha) is strictly forbidden - instead, write: أكل الولد التفاحة

@Fadi007 the language on the phone depends on the region the phone is imported from (Asia,Europe,USA...) so it's the same phone, same user interface, same specs, but the only difference is the language

You guys are forgetting that it is possible to find the Arabic firmware attachment online for free. You could even try and ask for it on the htc or samsung's main websites, and might find it on android updates.

Personally I would not buy an HTC with Arabic and without warrenty, it would mean they have played with the Rom because all the ''te7rib'' HTC phones come from far east and don't have arabic ;)
And if they played with the Rom so they have perhaps played with the hardware too!
Just take it from Amhaz and add an arabic patch from XDA.
Btw could someone make the apps work with WAP? I can only use the browser

Are you guys planning on getting one of these phones? I am thinking of getting one of them but still haven't decided which one. It's a tough choice.
vegetaleb
Yep!
SGS2 has better multimedia hardware screen, speaker and camera
Sensation has better UI with Sense 3.0 and of course lot of love from xda devs to give custom roms!
So none is perfect both have very strong advantages, you just have to choose what's most important for you...multimedia or roms?
Ziad87
I had already decided on the Sensation. But then when I saw a couple of reviews, I started having second thoughts. The Sense is probably better than TouchWiz but I will probably install a custom launcher later on anyways. Sense also seems a bit "heavy" with all these 3D animations. Also, even though the Sensation screen has a higher resolution, the contrast and viewing angles seem a bit disappointing.
So now I am favoring the Galaxy. But my concern is the Android upgrades. Samsung really messed up with the Froyo and Gingerbread upgrades for the Galaxy S. HTC seems better in this regard. Any idea, if either of them promised future upgrade-ability to Ice Cream Sandwich?
Fadi007
yea me 2 , i decided on the sensation , but when you watch youtube comparison videos u will have second thoughts . man the sharpness and black levels on samsung blow the htc awayyy...
am really confused now! touch wiz sucks and htc sense is sexy , which way to go don't know! i think the best way to decide is to hold them both in ur hand and pick one after that experience lol...
the good thing about the iphone is that you have no other ios phone to confuse you lol
vegetaleb
Perhaps some XDA devs will port Sense 3.0 into SGS2, it will be the perfect phone then but till now the devs on SGS2 are very shy, it even didn't get yet a CM7 or MIUI rom!!
Ziad87
Hehe, yeah the iOS experience is better in that regard. I am currently using an iPhone 3G but now it's really slow on iOS 4 and the whole system is becoming a bit tedious when it comes to customization and basic OS functions like multitasking and notifications. So this will be my first Android phone. Do you guys have any experience on how custom launchers like ADW work on systems like TouchWiz and Sense? Does the launcher completely replace the manufacturer one or does it run on top of it? In other words, are there any performance penalties?
As for custom roms for Galaxy S 2, give it some time. Once it's widely released in US and other regions, I am sure more people will start to work on it.
EddieEC
I'm ditching my iPhone for one of these. Still undecided. Favoring the Galaxy S2.

i am going with the sensation, its a great phone, or ill go with evo 3D, that they will announce GSM Version of it soon.
vegetaleb
I am just afraid of the sunlight visibility of the Sensation as well as the speaker for ringtones, those 2 things are mastered by the SGS2 but if it's already an upgrade over the N1 and Desire then...
