The Device in the pic above is old, but the one you linked to is definitely newer.
Cool device, yet useless in my opinion.

Yes it is an israeli technology, i just checked. "Offtopic: Fss everything nowadays is created in Israel. Backtrack was created by an israeli "Mati Aharoni. Intel most products are based from Intel Haifa, like their latest Intel Sandy Bridge. I think 75% of our technology is based on israel and most important restaurants/clothing companies are based on Israel. It's really annoying and strange.

Well it's probably useless but i like it's concept, using Laser and Infrared.
Cool technology, totally useless.

I remember a friend of mine designed a virtual keyboard using a red tracker (a red cap for the index finger) and a transparent sheet with the keyboard layout on it. It was a part of his Masters project:
Enhanced high speed XTEA decryption implementation, with a case study for realizing a secured virtual‐smart power grids without modifications to the countries power network through a concept product design based on an XTEA decryption core and a communication translation bridge between Mobile Networks/TCP‐IP/Smart Home protocol and Power line communication
