  • Iphone4 VS Nexus S VS Galaxy S 2 VS Optimus 3D VS Optimus 2X

As usual it will be sold at 700-800$ first 3 weeks then a drop of 100$, I would take it if the HTC Desire 2 is not better,I am so waiting for its specs tomorrow morning. MWC 2011 is so full of good news
I would go with the iPhone just because it maintains its value and the app store :P
Well seeing that the iPhone is about 6 months old and the other ones are not released yet (except Nexus S), it shouldn't be included in this comparison. On the other hand it is a great Android phone comparison. If I was to buy an Android phone, i'll go for anything with an unmodified version of the OS
the only thing that makes a smartphone last are the applications.
So far, the only difference between android and iOS is that the android OS is more open and not so restricted.
but when it comes to apps and games, iOS is the winner. All the major developers target the iphone first.
with android you have a lot of compatibility issues and difference in hardware (to some extent).
For example Google Goggles does not work on Nexus S and this is the "Google Phone".

The stuff (or hardware) that are making the Galaxy SII more powerful, are not in fact that useful. How many times would you record video? or plug it to the TV?

the android just lacks a lot of mainstream app, you need to really look when you want to find something decent as you will end up with a lot of non-working applications which you try to filter.

What sort of applications would you want on your mobile phone? Seriously, other than a few games I do not find applications that I would use for more than a week. Some applications could be useful (ex: WhatsApp) but I donno, maybe it's just the tiny screen size that turns me off...

It depends, if you just want a mobile phone go for something like a nokia. if you want a smartphone (apps/games/fun) then Android or iPhone.

on iPhone, I enjoy games from time to time. they tend to be addicting like "canabalt", and some SNES ROMs.
but nothing more than that. I just used it to browse and chat sometimes when I do not have access to the laptop.

on Android, apps are more useful as it is not 100% what you want out of the box. I got several good widgets. then there is an app to manage bluetooth. Another app to browse the phone and share files. another app to actually display SMSes when you receive them and not just the sound.
So, basically a lot of system apps that help users with the lack of features on the Android OS!

on iOS, I've never felt the need for "system" apps, it was just games and social tools/chat.

Completely Agree.

iPhone 4 was released 7 months ago, Nexus S released a month ago and the other phones aren't released yet + LG sucks.

If you want to include an iPhone then you should wait for iPhone 5. Then you have the full rights to compare.

The iPhone is the only SmartPhone that supports The Metasploit Framework and S.E.T (google if you wanna know about them) those are the best Remote Hacking/Phishing and other stuffs.
Galaxy S2 seems to have good specs, i have the galaxy S1 but if i want to trade it with the S2, after a month from the release, how much would i pay?
Motorola atrix, galaxy s 2 the 2X, are going to be available by then end of this month so 10-12 days, so they can be compared to the iphone 4. Apple only updates its hardware once a year which is slow compared to the very rapid developments , they cant keep up with the droids apple should update their hardware twice a year. Android create huge growth in the smartphone industry
Funny how iphone lovers still say that apps are the advantage of the iphone while Android is getting very close to beat iphone market after only 1 year, by the way MWC 2011 was totally dominated by Android (Samsung,HTC,LG,Motorola,SE,Acer...)
I have actually ALL the apps and games that my friends have on their iphones with 3x the speed and I only have a N1,so what will it be with a LG Optimus 3D that scores 2.5 times the N1 in speed??
Android IS the present and future of mobile phones just like Windows is the OS of 90% of PCs.
Apple iphones are good for dudes who wana show off that they paid 1000$ phone.

Here's another comparison by Engadget

Android is not and will not be the present and futture of SmartPhones. As i said a lot of sryff is supported on IOs and not available on SET like Metasploit-Set-nmap-iweppro ..........

" Android IS the present and future of mobile phones just like Windows is the OS of 90% of PCs."
That's not a good thing if 90% of the PCs have windows OS, windows SUCKS.
Im looking to buy a new phone to replace my Nokia N70 hehe. I've been quite tempted with Iphone 4, so is it worth getting? Or is there a better one? I mean the Samsung Galaxy S II up there looks great, yet I just heard of it. So do you think the Iphone 4 is worth the 850-900$ ?
No the iphone 4 has some bugs and is becoming obsolete compared to new LG and Samsung Android devices, those graphics are the scientific proves ;)
Now you can beleive an iphone fan or logical explanations.
Btw I wonder how many people have ever heard of ''sryff'' and how important its for a phone :)
Oh and for funny people who think we can't compare a phone 6 months old with a new one should explain why they compared the iphone 4 back in september with old Android devices like N1...

Now seriously ur saying LG phones are good, we saw their phones in the past and i think the same will be in the future.
If you get an iphone 3g with 2mp cam and any other phone with 5 mp, ull see that they are almost the same.
Show me and prove to me ANY SMARTPHONE IN THE WORLD THAT HAVE A BETTER TOUCHSCREEN than the iPhone touchscreen.
Apple is a "quality" company not like the others, i saw and used lots of Samsung smartphones like Samsung Spica and Samsung Galaxy S, they suck.

Now you can wait till June or July, Apple conference date, they will show their new product. I wont bother replying because till now The iPhone and iOs >>>> Smatphones company with Android/Symbian/WP.
No one can convince me until i see a new phone better than the iPhone that i doubt there will be because of the upcoming iPhone 5.
I tried lots of Smartphones and i can say that Android based smartphones are good but not better than the iPhone especially when some Penetration/Hacking/scanning application exists on the iOS only, that explains the power of iOS and iPhone.
m0ei wrotewindows SUCKS.
Typical from an Apple fanboy :) Care to explain why you think so? Please don't get into the security issues BS because you cannot prove that Linux or Mac aren't prone to security exploits as well. If you got anything else to support your allegations please enlighten us.

Okey I'm a developer. What prevents me from creating similar apps for the Android? When I do that, does that make the Android a better device?

Please try to be objective here. Stop saying "no one can convince me...", it's not really a personal preference, it's the benchmarks and the specs that are saying Samsung/LG/HTC phones are kicking the iPhone 4's ass. Just get over it.
Iphone fanboys never change :)
Galaxy S, Desire,N1 all of them gave proof of best build quality.
Sony used to be not so worthy 10 years ago but when they were the first to launch color screen on mobile phones with the T68 they became n2 after nokia on best sellings,SE was very appreciated because they did something revolutionary, same for iphone 1st gen when they released the first finger touch screen phone. And it can be the same for LG with their first 3D screen...
Lot of companies can evolve when they have the means to do it, the only problem with LG is that our LEBANESE official distributor is very slow on releasing mobiles but you can get it very soon via black market thanks to Amhaz ;)
My N1 after 10 months is still rock solid, very stable and still impress lot of people (specially BB addicts)
