It makes sense. I also wished they did that a while ago, like other countries.

Yep, less competition but you only start to reap the benefits when you're in your 60ies.
That's when heavy smokers will start to die :) And I'm not even sure that it works.

Actually it is hormonal, I think. There's a part of your brain which has receptors for nicotine, once the nicotine isn't abundant, you start getting the feeling of the need for nicotine.
which is the same that happens with drugs. I read somewhere that a new drug was to be aproved in the USA called Ibogain. it seems like a magic anti-addiction medicine that can actually stop dependence or the need for drugs in sessions. Im guessing this can also be used for smokers.

Yes it is, when you smoke you feel high, then you feel depressed.
But the addiction to this cycle is a psychological phenomenon, I believe. When people say "I can't stop smoking" I think they got some underlying psychological or sociological reasons.
Not that it still matters at this point, but hey xterm, how's the non-smoking thing going ?

Haven't smoked yet, been 48+ hours.

The hurra clip just featured me very briefly saying:

"The law alone is not a solution, increase the pack's price to 20,000L.L or even 40,000L.L"
Smoking is the worst thing a person can do to himself.

PS: I am a heavy smoker.
