Just had the treatment. 35 minutes of Acupuncture through Reflexology.

Patient: Me, been smoking for 8 years, ~2 packs per day.

Initial impression: I don't feel any different, i'm not "DYING" to smoke.

Stay tuned, next test, lunch.

I had been smoking for 5 years approx a pack per day. I used to smoke at uni. I got to the job, no one smokes in the workplace. I stopped.

I do not claim to have completely stopped. I still smoke from time to time (mainly with my girlfriend, she's a smoker) and it's somewhat difficult to stop completely. But I managed to stop smoking at the office out of sheer habit.

I used to smoke 15 cigs a day last year. Before that I was an occasional smoker. Since I met my girfriend I have stopped smoking, she doesnt smoke and she doesnt like me smoking, but I think what really made me stop is a psychological switch... something psychological. I eat a lot now, though.

BTW, there's also hypnotherapy for smoking. I know its hard to just quit, I wish you good luck, and I think the best thing is to have someone push you to stop smoking and support you in that.

I passed through lots of phases:
- First I drastically cut down consumption
- Then I try to stop totally and succeed at first
- Then I regularly relapse, telling myself something that this is the last cigarette (although I'm not really smoking much)
- Then I finally realise that I've been without smoking for a while... and start thinking (hope) that I'm finally over it.

In that process I passed through moments where I felt that I was ignoring behind who I really was.

Maybe smoking is not just a stupid habit, but something that has a meaning, and part of who you are and were.
At least for me that's how it felt sometimes.

Ok then those who do not want to stop should atleast have the decency not to smoke in public, especially when there are people sitting there.

I still do not understand why smoking is not banned in public places...

Lol no you did not "come up" with smoking. I mean the person who first said that tobacco can be smoked and started doing it. And no of course I do not smoke. You quit right?

Sorry... misunderstanding.
Yep, I officially quit, not that I was smoking that much. I prefer saying that I dont smoke anymore. But you never know, someday I might "relapse".

You guys definitely heard about the increase in the prices of alcohol and Tobacco and the decrease in the price of Fuel. What do you think about it.

I totally vote for this. and i wish that they did that 50 years ago.
