  • Any Cyberia DSL users suffering from a lost connection at night?

It is been happening for 2 nights now, at 10:30 pm the modem resets itself , my ip changes and I loose all connection to the Internet ! i mean no traffic at all , i can't even open a single webpage (nothing is being downloaded of course)
the situation stays that way until around 8 am when the modem resets itself again the ip changes back.. I know about the FUP but isn't even if u "abuse" the FUP, ( i didn't download much this month, in fact it this month bandwidth consumption should be the lowest when compared to the past 6 months since i was away for 2 weeks!) , Cyberia should only cap the connection not baning you from using the internet.. Of course, Cyberia support admitted that they are capping the connection but they denied that they are not given me access to the internet!
Yeah its been happening to me lately. I have wirelessbits from cyberia (wisebox). Same situation as yours and i dont get to download anything at night. Sometimes its lightning fast at night and i can download around 1.2gigs in 7hours and sometimes barely 200mb.

I phoned cyberia and they told me that the connection is shared and its really loaded at night so they need to take these measures so everyone can use the internet fairly.

Also most of the other ISP's are like that, dosint matter what the connection type is.

Only Ogero has stable connection 24/7.
I thought you guys are paying more than normal ADSL users so that you get a "better" service?
I guess it paid off! lol
yeah but for me the situation is even worse since i can do nothing at night even browsing..
pay more for a "better" service! right :p
Also when i loose the connection at night my ip changes from 10.52.xx.xx to 10.185.xx.xx but my gateway ip (as shown in cyberia modem) is always 10.50.xx.xx.. just a notice

They said the "better" service will be effective on may 1st. Lets just wait and see.
Im not an ADSL user so it dosint concern me. But i would want some feedback from cyberia users here on may 1st.

why not simply move to Ogero and enjoy the stable connection?

yeah same here.. thankfully my bro have a mobi which i am using now
i talked to Cyberia support a few minutes ago and it seems that they have a problem with their routing or smth.. when the ip changes to 10.185.xxx.xxx it loose all connection to the gateway 10.50.64.1.. doing a tracert to 5.5.5.5 only yields "request timed ou"t... something is very wrong with them.. In the morning when the ip is in the range of 10.50.xxx.xxx everything is working fine..
Paladin can u plz check ur ips and ur gateway ip too. u can obtain them from your router (if u have one) or modem (192.168.1.254)
I already checked them earlier, same thing as yours.. almost!

My ip is also: 10.185.xxx.xxx
gateway is 10.50.64.1

Paladin maybe u should also send an email to support@cyberia.net.lb about it too.. it seems it is a widespread problem.. if a lot of users complained maybe they can fix the problem sooner!

I don't believe in emailing them.. i think they will just press that cute delete button, I'll just call tomorrow and bitch to them :P
yeah i did that today and i will do it again tomorrow too, i emailed them at the same time i was talking to the support (he wanted a log of my ips and a description of my problem)
Anyhow if u r in the mood u can also call them now at 01-355156 (supposed 24/7 support)

it is their "new" FUP in action.. instead of reshaping or capping, they ban you now :p
Tomorrow the FUP on the account should be reset (i am just guessing)
Shouldn't the FUP be for ppl that download a lot? I haven't downloaded anything in like a week!
