wollyka but u used to download? did u download a lot this month? or the week before it? it seems that they changed their FUP (with the increase in prices) to give us " a better internet service" :p.. Think about it, if every time they "ban" some users at night for a couple of days, there will be more available speed and bandwidth for the few users that still have a connection, and those users will have "a better internet service"... at least until they "abuse" their connection and they are banned too lol
elchebib Flakk wroteSo its may 1st. Any Improvements on the Cyberia connections ? :P Yeah, I wanna know about that too considering that they're the only ISP who increased it's prices for "better Internet quality".
wollyka No still the same, will have to wait until at least 11 pm to see.. but i really doubt any improvement! i suspect a "te2nin 3al internet" like electricity lol
elchebib I still find it very peculiar when one ISP in Lebanon raises the prices when nobody else did that. I mean, since we don't have any competition per se in Lebanon, when one ISP raises the prices, it sheds doubt on the rest of the ISPs. Doesn't that seem a bit fishy?????
Flakk I think all Cyberia ADSL users should change ISPs. This is a total ripoff, unless other ISPs are planning to do the same thing in the near future dunno.
wollyka i am pretty sure that i will switch next month or so if no other ISP rises their prices or change their FUP.. Also the new improved internet quality is a total BS.. it seems they have just updated their FUP.. They don't cap you now, instead they will disconnect you for god knows for how many nights (or until the next cycle).. By enforcing the new FUP, a lot of users (mostly heavy users )will have no connection at night and thus the other users will a "better quality internet"!
wollyka it is after midnight, and the connection didn't go this time and my IP didn't suddenly changed to 10.185.xxx.xxx for the first time in like 4 days , which supports the idea that the disconnection is their new FUP in action..
Flakk Yeah you guys should wait till tomorow midnight and check. Then i would recommend changing isps
Aly It is obvious in Lebanon, no need to change ISP or change from Cyberia to any other ISP because heavy users aren't welcomed in any ISP.
wollyka Haha, now Cyberia support decided to reply to my email that i sent 4 days ago Dear Customer, Thank you for contacting Cyberia Customer Service. XhacK So they increased their prices not to upgrade their servers...just to implement the new FUP system?.... lol
