Broadband in Lebanon - Latest Updates
hey guys are there any improvements in internet packages? such as lower prices, more bandwidth,
real unlimited mobile internet (we all have the right to dream)
real unlimited mobile internet (we all have the right to dream)
Their's nothing from idm and ogero yet.
"Taffeyet" They are only expanding COs.
I wonder if they still have bandwidth or they're plugging everyone on SAT :/
I'm wondering that too. Since they're not doing anything but expanding Centrals at the moment, I wonder when each ISP's capacity will be full.Fernand wroteI wonder if they still have bandwidth or they're plugging everyone on SAT :/

I'm not sure but i heard rumors about the reason concerning the horrible traffic these days, because they are replacing the old wires with fiber optics, im not sure if that's real, but i don't trust this, i mean its Lebanon, a country used to be the lead in the ME when it come to services and what not, but the current Lebanon is probably the worse of all time, countries like Angola,Mozambique and Sri lanka has better internet\electricity\phone services than us, a friend of mine in morocco pays 10$/month for a 2mbps unlimited internet connection, that really make me wonder sometimes why was i doomed and born here..XhacK wroteso guys?...we were sooooo excited about the IMEWE cable and the fiber optic plans...etc

Dreaming for a fast connection is kind of limited, guys dream for bigger stuff, i came back to lebanon after spending years in Canada (you heard the story and we spoke about it in the other thread. Montreal got a fast internet in 2006, that's 4 years ago, before they had a 1- 2 mbps connection), so stop whining and wishing for such mediocre things and dream for more important things. my 2 cents. hope everybody is doing ok btw
Dream for stuff like what joe? It's Lebanon we're talking about, so let's keep it real._joe_ wroteDreaming for a fast connection is kind of limited, guys dream for bigger stuff, i came back to lebanon after spending years in Canada (you heard the story and we spoke about it in the other thread. If they instate a fast connection, the first thing ill do is create my own radio station :)
Maybe that's the real reason they want to cap the bandwidth: to limit people from using internet in a expressive way. They already suffocated VOIP.

yeah as if they can get us 1Gpbs links if they want to
censorship is the only obstacle

Lets start crying guys my friend in Sweden downloaded about 900MB in about 10 minutes. :( :( :(
as long as telecomunications and networking are one of the main profitable government industries, limitations will continue.
