know this was an April fools from a couple of years back, right...
I for one, find it really annoying. As mir said, it's really annoying when you get redirected to an Arabic version of whatever service. At least here we can do a one click move back to English, in blogger it's even more frustrating.
I wonder why they don't save the localization settings into your Google profile. It's unfortunately not always as convenient as Rolf made it sound, since you might be using different browsers, and different PCs etc, it's just a hassle.
Anyway, I don't know where they got the assumption that most Lebanese users would rather have Google load up in Arabic. I would be very surprised if more than 1% actually uses it in Arabic.. *sigh*
