Its 4 am and what I get is a 0.3 Mbps am sure there's something wrong Before the upgrade it used to be 0.4 now almost 0.3 :(

Please tell us when an outage is going to happen. I'm spending more that what my connection costs on a free game because of those outages.

ROFL :P good thing my WoW subscription ended and i won't subscribe for 2 weeks ... you know maybe things get really good until then :P ahh no more latency rage for now ^^

I'm a moderator in that game. I can't simply disappear. anything more than 3 second outage costs me real life money and it's happening every day starting noon till 3AM.

Oh, it's not just latency. I can live with a constant 700ms latency. it's outages that are getting me killed.

have you tried investing part of the money you earn from being a moderator in a second connection just as nuclearcat recommended? End user connections are not made for 100% reliability if you need it for business Im sure that there are more expensive but better packages.

I don't earn money from being a moderator or get any 'perks' in the game :) It's sometime I do voluntarily to help. If they offered to pay me a cent, I'd quit. Not everything in life is about money. In fact even the developers of the game's client don't get paid. it's called open source ;) Building communities around open source projects helps bridge the gap between cultures and allows you to meet people from all over the globe.
Some people who can program help with development. Others help with documentation. Some help in moderating. We all happily do it for free.
I'm not asking for 100% reliability but even the 128kbit connections are illegal cable guys seem more stable these days.

Oh I see, thought you meant it costs you money as lost profits. though you could use the money you spend every time you die and calculate a monthly cost. if that monthly cost is higher than adding a different provider or improving then buy another one.

Another question: What does VISP exactly mean by "fair usage policy"? Is downloading 30 GB/month considered as fair or excessive usage?

Do any other providers provide non-DSL connections? I can't get a phone line.

I totally agree. Cable connections are always more stable than wireless since they don't suffer from interference. That's why DSL packages are more expensive and limited.

Guys I want some help yesterday I was downloading a 264 MB file from www.fileape.com I check my FUP before this and it was 4% the time was 5:50 am after that and @ 210 Mb the download stopped the time was 6:15 am because the connection imed out :( and file was corrupted after that I checked my FUP and it reached 16 % I was really shocked ?
So please I need some help in this , I want to know which time are the best for downloading ? I know from 3am till 6 am the FUP doesn't count though yesterday the connection was awful @ 3am so I began downloading @ 5 :)
And I want to know does FUP counts only after 6 pm :) ?

hey, you could pause the download, then when the connection turn on continue the download, you need dap download acelerator, it accelerate the download and you can pause it.

@Mohammad I use my iPad 2 not a pc and I used to have Internet download manager as my accelerator on my laptop but it died 3 month ago so I replaced it with a 64 GB iPad 2!!!! IDM is better than dap
IDM is not free but I cracked it so I get the best performance ;)

By the way just as a reminder...DAP was produced in Israel...just check the website, etc... and you'll realize that.

yes, no one argues against that. but as I mentioned dozens of times in this thread, cable/wireless/pppoe is my only option because I can't get a land phone line.

I'm a VISP user and I'm getting a surprising low ping when using the speedtest on my iPod (here's the results):

However, when I run the test on my PC I get results similar to this:

Any idea how that's possible?
