hussam When something like this happened last April, didn't you mitigate the problems with some QoS? the ISP support technician I spoke to last morning said there was no QoS at all at the moment.
nuclearcat Yes, but it wont help, since most of Lebanese backbone is ancient fiber going to USA (much higher latency means).

nuclearcat traceroute is out of QoS. Sure i can make it "nice", but thats not a proper way probably. I will work on that soon anyway. Anybody who use VISP end-user connection want to test real ip? :-)

nuclearcat No, i am getting "support" requests over PM in forums, but people not much helpful when it comes to help to develop new feature :-)
nuclearcat I will try to assign manually today for u real ip My jabber denys@jabber.visp.net.lb (Gmail will work too) or MSN nuclearcat@nuclearcat.com In case something will not work...
hussam I redialed the pppoe connection. still 172.x.x.x here. Any specific thing I should do, nuclearcat?
nuclearcat Advantage - real ip :-))) Some things that works not over 80 port and needs u dedicated IP. IRC for example. Or some games that don't like many users coming from single ip... and etc.

nuclearcat Ahhh yes i forgot Webcam, file transfers, and p2p (but p2p i HATE). In some cases you can get such things to work MUCH better.
hussam http://v-enjoy.visp.net.lb/ no longer opens. but it's fine. I rarely ever use it. Yes, I don't use or like p2p either.
