I called visp phone support today. I asked (translating from Arabic) if online gaming will hopefully be fixed this week. Some guy replied and said I have to wait then he asked for my username and location. I gave him my username. He said I wasn't online. I told him that I'm not connected. The PC wasn't on anyway. Then he assured me that online gaming will be fixed in the next few days. So I guess there is still good hope.

Message from nuclearcat...
meaow!
No serioulsy guys you should leave nuclear cat with his nuclear routing networking and hacking stuff. He is a very very busy man and I think he is busy right now writing some routing commands to route properly the traffic, since this is the hard time for all isps especially his, and he must keep up with the work.
So lets all wish him good luck and the best of luck to the very very very skilled nuclearcat.
:D

lool rolf.. true true !
i think you guys should invite nuc for some sushi and some drinks after all this mess is over and celebrate specially after having to put up with the questions :P
the dude was doing more than just his job for you :P

I think its awesome how nuclearcat is able to help the users on this site.
props to him!
crazy
Yes, it is awesome in some way. But it is not the right way...
If there was a good customer support, nuc, wouldn't had to do support on this or any other forum. Anyway, good job nuc, and good luck for the weeks to come.

well I found a bug here with the system. I think you can get up to 20mbps download speed for few seconds if you :
-disconnect from the PPPoE
-Reconnect
-As soon as you are connected ( at the same time )... Resume your download paused with DAP or IDM...You get free seconds of unlimited bandwidth speed.. around 4-5 seconds depending on how much you are lagging.. sometimes this doesnt work if your download takes time to resume.
I think reason behind that maybe because when you register on the network.. It takes few seconds to apply bandwidth rules or whatsoever. So probably you have no restrictions at the beginning.
I tried this and it worked several times.
Can you confirm ?
crazy
In VISP? no need to disconnect... at every download I have a burst in speed, sometimes the download finishes before the burst stops.
Maybe that is what you are talking about. If it is, then you should know that this setting has been around for around a year or a bit less I guess.
nuclearcat
It is called burst. Also remember, sometimes i am checking accounts who connect/disconnect too much and banning them.
Kareem
Man I am not talking about burst... I know that burst gives you like 1.2Mbps for a 256kbps and 640kbps for a 128kbps but I was talking about speed around 10-20mbps ... forget about it... I believe you will not understand what I mean.. Anyway I cannot check my quota anymore on pi.globalproof.net ... I wonder why..
