Nuclearcat, i submitted a ticket in support.visp.net.lb as someone ask me for because nobody answer my question and fix my problem. And i still didn't get any reply from support, this was from 3 days ago.

as i see, as soon as there is data transfer your wireless are disconnecting, there is nothing i can do from my side
if there is more than one connection alive, it's dropping everything. I could waste 10 dollars on my cell phone calling them and they will pretend to be ignorant. I can open a support ticket and it will not ever get a reply.
it's little allowed speed..not a wireless issue. my online game uses much less than 0.5Kbytes per second. the instance my mail client checks few emails, I lag in the game.
I'm not being ungrateful. I love that I can finally play at below 100ms latency and I'm not making accusations but surely you understand our frustrations.
The spikes are insane right now.

yes, I just had a huge fight over the phone with the tech support about ping to 2.2.2.10.
he hung up on me at the end. very unprofessional.
I complained about the ping
he told me I am downloading at 100 kilobytes /second.
I can I ****ing download at 100kilobytes/second when my account is 256k (512 with the promotion thing).
I'm not even downloading at all. I didn't have one window open when I called him.
I'm leaving VISP at the end of the month. Stupid liars.
kde's task manager said less than 0.5 kilobytes/second (sum of eth0 and ppp0) yet the idiot says I'm downloading at 100kilobytes/second.
nuclearcat, please talk to your support personell.
I've been using computers before most of these kids were born. I don't appreciate someone telling me I'm downloading at 100kilobytes/second when I'm not downloading anything.

mine is jumping up to 3000ms. you can call them but they will deny it.

Hussam, there is problem on your unit, and i have no idea why.
Support probably mistaken and looked other user, it is 1st line support, and you cannot expect PhD sitting there and helping end-users, especially at friday evening/over weekend. It is same also for all ISPs.
Next thing i will do, i will ask them to not troubleshoot users, but to forward to me problems, i will schedule their resolution and will work on them personally, it will increase problem resolution time, but it will prevent me to be humiliated.
According the log, it happens after last power surge.
You keep insisting it is speed limit, well, you know better then. You want to leave - good luck.

I will. I don't really need a internet connection. it's just for one single online game which I can live without.

hussam, i read about problem at 16:30, at 17:00 all workers are leaving.
It is also friday.
If tomorrow someone is available i will let them know, and they will try to fix.
Tomorrow i will write also guidelines for support, what they should do. One of them - to not make any assumptions, they will just collect data, and 1-2 hours per day i will spend revieving customer complains, teaching support leader and taking decisions how to solve them and when.

so please, when there will be a solution.you promised by 11-11 things with get better and DSL accounts will be available.as for today the 11-11 i see we are all still complaining about bad service. in a time almost all ISPs upgraded and their users are satisfied.

We didnt got upgrade yet and waiting papers to be signed. Next week i will start trying to follow up where again papers are lost. But ogero also pretty busy, cause of recent cable faults.

Nuclearcat you must take into CONSEDERATION that we are paying 50 LL for a 512 Kbps connection now whereas all Lebanon is paying this amount and getting 1 Mbps and others 2 Mbps connection for 35 $ , it's not about the money dude but it's our right s:) this problem is awful every week you say this week and this week ; and everyone is frustrated you must give something in reward for your customers to compensate this loss :) I can't download a 500 mb app on my iPad WE WANT THE OLD SPEEDS BACK I know your working hard but the connection is really laggy that really annoying if this problem persists I'll leave VISP

About the money, dude, my job are writing software, fixing backbone, and few other stuffs, but not taking decisions or talking directly with customers.
I'm tired also to explain, why getting backbone and upgrades is difficult.
I just spent recently worst 2 month in my life for last years, even i was not getting my salary (just to help company as much as i can to pay for backbone faster, but my salary are less than 1% for half-million deposit required), and was working from 9am till 3am, without weekends, to get damned backbone i wanted and nagging management for last 6 years. And you tell me i'm paying 50000LL, and i cannot download a file for my iPAD? Rly?
If you don't like internet, please, stop nagging on my head and act, best thing you can do - don't pay next month and switch ISP. There is plenty wireless ISP, e.g. Mobi and Wigo, you can just get the modem from supermarket and work there.
I know that VISP will get final upgrade, and then i will start doing final polish for internet.
P.S. Use your intelligency, and as i am doing, move your download to morning. I guess you are trying to download at evening... If you want IMMEDIATELY and at any time of day, well, the price of getting dedicated from some ISPs are much lower now, just pay $2500/month, and get 5Mbit/s dedicated, and then really you can demand your bandwidth at any time of day.

But seriously....And to everyone...We know that progress is being made, we know that latency has gotten much better (albeit in the morning mostly), we know that prices dropped below 60%.
I believe that we can be a little more patient...We must keep the pressure up of course....But do so in a respective manner.
As to Nuclearcat: I've been remembering him each time I have a successful Skype conversation with my loved ones, and I remember him each time I log on successfully online on my ps3.
We appreciate all that.

though i have nothing to do with visp but i browse all the forums here , i appreciate what he is doing , though i never face any problems with my internet (but rarely !) id be happy if my isp hired someone like him :) .

First of all im intelligent enough dude , im downloading @ 6 am , though im not getting the speed I want ....
Im not targeting you in person :) but I think you can make our voices reach the CEO , I don't wanna make an appointment with the CEO because I want to talk with the person who helped me get my 1 Mbps account with the person who was always workin for our benefit , dude you understood me wrong I have nothing against you , because without you I would have left VISP from years , lol I remember how much I was happy when I downloaded my first app on a 1 Mbps conx and the person I was remembering that day was YOU , and now whenever I end a 2 hours Skype call with a friend from Japan without any outage ;) I know your the one behind it , I know you have been trying to explain to us the problem and you have been working to solve that problem and I appreciate that , we were promised to get the fix but we didn't get it , and I appreciate every single second you spent in order to fix that problem , but you know every one wants a great connection and am really frustrated when I see my neighbor's connection reaching 1 Mbps ...... And If the problem persist more than this month I won't think again I'll leave VISP for sure :)
Finally I want to thank you dude for everything , I can feel with you , apologizes if I was rude in the last reply but I was really angry and I hope you can understand this , because I need a fast Internet :P and I wrote that reply after 3 days in a row of trying to download an app and it freezes at its half . Ok this is getting too romantic :P Anyway we all thank Nuclearcat for his hardwork , I'm a member of the VISP group on facebook and to be honest Nuc , your bosses are freaking bunch of liars , whenever i ask about an issue they blame on my reseller , and each time i expose that it is not my reseller problem ( i'm not an illiterate like they think ) , they simply stop replying .. very unprofessional . If it wasn't for Nuclearcat's hard work and customer support here and FTS ( which he is not supposed to do by the kind of his job ) , I would have quit the company long ago .. Keep up the good work buddy.

I can't connect to anything not http now and it came at a really bad time. I had just announced a global contest in the online game and then suddenly I lost connection :(
