babum, post as many tests as you want. I also have 'my data'. a direct customer who lives 10 minutes away from VISP building shouldn't be getting 2 kilobytes per second. I'm not talking about youtube but rather when I download system updates or anything else.

Dude, Vengeance66666 asked me to post them it wasn't just an idea I got, I don't know why you connection is not good, really I don't work for visp and im not a technician.

The purpose of complaining is to motivate VISP to upgrade its services...nothing personal...
I myself am experiencing very bad connection, and I think I'm the only person on the planet that pays $90/month for such lousy connection.
Why am I still here? Simple, Ogero won't install phone line in my building, I'm stuck with these guys.

it means absolutely nothing. I still get 0.5 to 8k per second on all other websites.
easy..route speedtest.net through one connection and the rest through another.

I still have faith nuclearcat will come up with something but the situation is getting terrible.

Consider yourself lucky enough to access speedtest. Browsing IS LITERALLY DEAD on my side, I can't get past 10kbps (yes that's around 1.5KB/sec). I'm not sure how I got here btw :D

i still 400ms on tests and lag ingame , so i expect good latencies from this announcement soon ?

traceroutes still show the old 300 to 400s ms routes. no idea. nuclearcat seems very busy to reply too.

I have a Sodetel connection at home in Tripoli and it's great. They upgraded it to 1 Mbps.
In Beirut, my internet is from VISP and it's horrible. Sometimes I get an upload of ZERO Mbps and download is usually no more than 0.1 Mbps. It takes ages for a simple page to load, I can't download anything and for some reason, I can't access Sodetel's website.

Is it possible that someone here can call VISP and ask when upgrade will come?
also I'm getting 0.5Mbit now on speedtest.
I think I was downgraded from 1mbit to 0.5mbit.
even cached files now downlaod at 0.5 instead of 1mbit.

My speed was also downgraded from 2 Mbps to 1 Mbps or at least that's what it looks like. Though they haven't updated anything in customer.visp.net.lb so I am guessing it is to maintain capacity until new internet supply starts working.

for the last hour, my download speed has not exceeded 1 kilobyte/second. this is insane.
I'm not even getting half the 1 Mbit.

Btw, babum. I can almost guarantee you that VISP is not interested in getting a Ogero/IMEWE line.
It also sounds like the only person there who is eligible to work at an ISP there is nuclearcat.

haha, that would suck big time, really. though I don't think they will just leave their consumers hanging I mean current capacity is not going to be sufficient for the coming months.

Though I don't know about you, but yesterday internet was unusable from 8 till almost 11. maybe that has to do something with now.

They don't care. It's going to remain like that till more and more users get educated about computers, networking and similar technologies and find other ISPs.

A few weeks ago, I was having a interference problem between my building and their base station. From what I gathered, they ignored fixing it till Nuclearcat was nice enough to 'force' them to do it.

That does suck indeed, just out of curiosity how do you fix an interference problem? do you change your emitters frequency or stop the other ones?
