I'm getting literally less than 1kilobytes/second download rate now. it's gettling slower by the day. since the update to 1Mbit, I haven't seen anything above 10kilobytes/second. sometimes 200 bytes/second (yes bytes) downloading updates from [url=ftp://ftp.archlinux.org]ftp.archlinux.org[/url]

They said that the last Monday we see improvements but nothing happen. Maybe this Monday we will see it

This is my last monday , this a clear disrespect for customers .. they don't answer anyone anywhere , FB , forums , support is a waste .. why would i be patient of them with this while they can't be patient 1 hour when my 50 000 L.L due comes every month ?

It's not Nuclearcat's fault you know , he's just an engineer that works there and do whatever they tell him to do ... the blame is to be put on such a fail managment that fails to take the smallest decisions like maybe well ... our networks can't handle any overload they are already overloaded , so we cannot upgrade x4 speeds at august and double the FUP ffs ... but NOOO WE ARE TARZANS , WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS .. they wanted to do heroic moves just to show off and maybe attract customers , and look where we are now ... /facepalm..

dude, honestly stop complaining, two things: first you were happy that they increased speeds and quota two months ago regardless of the fact that the backbone has not yet been updated, so are they really to blame? second the fact that you only hear about negative comments is because no one who is happy with is connection will simply log in to the website and tell them, thank you VISP I'm getting what I payed for, right?
have you ever called Alfa in order to thank them for being able to call people and have a good call quality or to complain about not having BB?

Visp as a I see it is a good company (At least so far) which has its problem just like any other firm in the planet.

I wish they would simply downgrade to 256k so they the system can handle the load. 2 to 8k per second is insane. most noobs can't tell the difference anyway.

are you serious ?? sorry no offense either you don't know the difference between 1mbit/sec and 20kbit/sec .. or you live in the marketing departement or a reseller for VISP , hard to believe you left DSL ( which has it's problems but no this ? ) and went for VISP just 2 days after the upgrade as i remember and you are so happy with 20kbps after 4pm then telling other customers not to complain ... i would pay 15 000 L.L per month for this and shut my mouth for the next century but 50 000 L.L for 20kbps and then to get told hold on , wait until end of november as a manager in VISP mentioned on facebook , or stop complaining, i think i got the full right to flame VISP and complain , so are you my friend ..

increased speeds? really? I used to have 32kilobytes 24/7. now I have 2 to 8kilobytes/second. sometimes less than 1 kilobyte. there are "no" increased speeds.
I'm not blaming Nuclearcat. he just works there. we are very lucky he still checks the forums.
but look at the bigger picture. they told us we got upgraded from 256k to 1mbit. instead we got 56kbit max. Then someone who probably is their general manager registers on the forums and starts advertising.

browsing is half-working now at 3:18AM , takes time to load small websites as google or lebgeeks .. ingame latency is playable but 400 500 ms is not acceptable at 3:18AM and after a supposed upgrade , download speed is capped at 10kb/sec 24/7 .. it's a quite mess and babum thinks this is good ...

answering respectfully as I don't really care for none of the companies and I do wish that internet was much better, though I do quite know the difference between what a 1 mbit/s and 20 kb/s, so thank you very much for asking. There are two things that are kinda different from what you describe, Im not getting 20 kb/s after 4 Pm, I just said it became a bit slower at 20:00 which by definition doesn't mean dial up. second I did notice that you are behind a reseller (not sure about hussam) so could it be that the reseller is capable of handling this stuff? I mean I have a cousin behind a reseller and he is suffering a lot because of it, but it is because of a reseller.

On another point, of course you have your full right of complaining about visp, flaming them or even the level that comes before burning their building, but what I mean is that it won't be helpful or as helpful. and finally the reason why I got a visp connection is because our great Ogero can't put a phone line in my building or at least they are not going to for the next months, so yeah it was either visp or Mobi.

as always I'm not looking into starting a fight with anyone in any forum because honestly I think really ill of people who do so specially with complete strangers so kindly take my comment the best possible way if there is any :)

I'm a direct subscriber with a @visp.net.lb account (no reseller), babum and I'm 10 minutes by car away from VISP building. I get 2 to 8kbytes/second after 4PM.

~500 bytes/second to 2kilobytes/second download rate now. it's only 12:36PM...

If VISP is for some reason giving you a better download rate than the rest of us direct subscribers, then then's a totally different story but I haven't seen anything more than 2 to 8k per second since the 1Mbit upgrade. most of the time it doesn't even reach the 3kilobytes/second.

I'm not fighting anyone at forums , neither an ill person :) should i direct you to countless direct customers that have the same issue as i do ?? heck you got hussam as an example now .. anyways why don't you just do us some pingtests and speedtests to europe ( frankfurt paris leon ... ) tonight at 8pm and post the results here so everyone can see them ?

babum, post as many tests as you want. I also have 'my data'. a direct customer who lives 10 minutes away from VISP building shouldn't be getting 2 kilobytes per second. I'm not talking about youtube but rather when I download system updates or anything else.
