My Mom Passed Away from Cancer

I am sorry to hear that man, may she rest in peace, I hope it was peaceful?
I lost my mom in June 2016 to colon cancer after very long years of suffering, surgeries, chemo and relapses. The way I see it is that it's not worth it to go through all the treatments for nothing. She was depressed and miserable for a very long time, doctors are shit in Lebanon from a psychological point of view at least.

What I can tell you is that people will expect you to move on after a couple of months and won't understand what it's like. No one will replace your mom. Not even your partner.
Always be surrounded with people that will actually listen to you if you want to talk about it. Sometimes you will feel that you want to talk about it, make sure you have those people that will listen and not get bored.

Take as much time as you need, it's been almost 3 years for me and I still don't feel like myself and that's okay. It will change you and you will think about her a lot. If you need anything, feel free to reach me.

Life is extremely short. We don't get much time here.

It is because of corruption. Like many things in Lebanon, you will find good doctors but also bad doctors and hospitals and they are allowed to exist through corrupt practices. In the end it will cause people to suffer and die needlessly.

I am sorry about your mother. I dont know who is expecting you to "move on". I can inderstand you and many people can. The answers in this thread are proof and I think it is a beautiful thing.
