The actual choice of TV 4k HDR is bad in Lebanon, Samsung? They have either entry level MU7000 that are told to enter repair center all the time and they don't have a good HDR, then prices jump to 2000$ , nothing in the middle, no MU8000 or MU9000 unless it's a monster 65''.
Sony? Entry level 700 and 800E are IPS so bad blacks and so not so good HDR, and they are expensive for that. They bring mid range X850E which is a VA panel ONLY starting 55'' at 1100$, why not bring the 49'' version at 900$???? Same goes for the very good X900E which gets micro-dimming but also only start with 55'' at 1300$, no 49'' model here.
So both samsung and sony strategies in Lebanon are pretty bad, it's either low entry or super high priced ones, nothing in the middle.
The only gateway is TCL IF they really bring the US P607

They surely have both sizes 55" and 65".
I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the 55" yesterday from Khoury Home! (installments of course xD).

I told them that Im actually going to tahan to take it and in just passing by, so what the salesman did is he actually lowered the price of the TV so this will compensate for the interest rate, and the final result was the same price like tahan as if the interest rate was 0%.
I went with khoury home mainly because of better customer and after sales service, I guess?
I don't know, never had experience with neither of them but khoury home employees always looked more knowledgeable and professional to me.
Maybe you guys can Share some experiences with customer / after sales services with both of them?

I like the reviews of this guy , he is technical person who purchase the TV and compare with another TV , no marketing gimmicks very straight forward for the end user.

Personaly I will go Sony Midrange - Highend anyday compared to Qled or Oled. Motion Handling , Upscaling , HDR Peak Brightness, Color Reproduction , and durability are top in the industry. Waiting for microleds which adds the benefits od OLEDs ( infinite contrast and real blacks) and LED ( Peak Brightness , no image retention and screen burning) which will be my next replacememt with HDMI 2.1.

Well I just called, asked the exact model number, the guy said it was P6US.
As far as I know that's neither the US nor European version..
But I asked about Dolby vision support, no support for it.
Also asked the os, he said android.
So most probably its the European version.
But I've never heard of that model number before.

The Asian P2 series here is P2US so it must be a brand new model for Asian countries, and knowing they use the same products as Europe so yes.
But it's still good with HDR and local dimming, and certainly better than Mu7000

And in UAE they have like in Europe, 2 models of P6US, one with Android P6100 and the other with ''smart'' apps P6000, and the price difference is not that big with 650$ for the Android version and 590$ for the other one.

Actually you can check in the menu for micro dimming, I just watched a video of the P6046 which is the same in Europe and you can turn it On-Off from the menu, so you can always pay a visit to Abed Tahan and check it

HLG is a big gimmick :) , dolby vision with real 12 bit panels are the coming future with micro led panels. HDR 10 is the treat now with capable high end led tvs such as X930e with brightness crossing 1200 nits and powerful local dimming .
The TCL P Series that will be released here is not the USA variant that rtings.com tested , it is a variant that has am ambiguous HDR Pro ( that can decode HDR 10) with a mediocre HDR Peak Brightness of only 300nits.

So I got an HDR capable screen, and a 4k Netflix account.
My pc specs are a sandy bridge cpu and a gtx 980.

My question is how can I use Netflix to stream HDR content on the screen?
Will chromecast ultra work, or will it still be limited by my cpu and gpu?

You need at least a Kaby Lake CPU (7th generation) or Nvidia's GeForce GT(X) 10 series to stream Netflix at 4K due to DRM. That's for PC. Not sure about Android devices or Smart TVs. Doesn't your TV have a Netflix app?
Its not a TV, its a projector, with HDR support.
I am aware of the requirements, and my specs aren't HDR ready.
Which is why i'm asking for help, how can i do it?

Will chromecast work? I dont know how chromecast works, i need to hook it up to the projector, and to the pc? and if i hook it to the pc wont it still not let me stream HDR because of the specs?
