Tech Guru wrotePersonally I prefer physical shops on PC&Parts "warehouse approach".
I prefer the total opposite, physical stores are for trying things and having the courtesy of buying after trying. But you can't really try a VGA.
I would, for example, buy a laptop from a physical store (if they let me try it, and check screen quality, trackpad buttons, etc...), but most shops don't let you try, so what is the point.
For anything else that you don't need to try, an online shop is the best option, especially one with a proven credible RMA record like pcandparts.

Moreover, those physical shops are notoriously bad, most of them can't survive without lowlife tactics like breaking things from your motherboard to let you buy a new one, when you bring in the PC for a minor repair like bad RAM (that you wouldn't know about) or maybe even a software problem. If they can't survive without those tactics maybe they shouldn't be open in the first place.

I understand your point - how ever PC&Parts is a semi - online shop , it is a physical shop through an "online page" and a "warehouse" a simple approach to reduce expenses. PC&Parts offered me the service of customizing the rig & they do install parts on site " new service" but as a Hardware enthusiasts I am very aware of those tactics maybe "beginners" might be deceived. Therfore , I put PC&Parts in the same basket. From my experience , warranties in Lebanon are more " Psychological Relief" especially when you go different parts orders and not a complete system. In Lebanon everying thing is possible so taking risks is normal.

Tech Guru wrote His prices are relatively lower even comparing to PC&Parts and he can make special orders from outside.
Good to know, because I'm thinking of ordering an Antec PSU and other parts (that pcandparts doesn't have) when I build my new rig.

Is this any good for a single GTX 1060 (when it's released) ? If not which PSU (in the 600W range and fully modular) do you recommend ?

A Quality 650 W PSU is enough for the overall system power draw including a single 1060 (OC Even) with a head room to OC Further - Pascal is very efficient (more efficient compared to Maxwell even) , but I prefer to go for at least 80Plus Gold Certified Tier 1 or Tier 2 , PSU. Corsair Ax or Hx Series , Cooler Master V Series , Seasonic , EVGA Super Nova G2 , Thermal Take Tough Power). The 1060 looks very promising ;)

Hey guys, anyone know any decently priced places in Dubai where you can get an Nvidia 1080? My friend is coming in a week and Id like to ship one to him so he can bring it.

I got mine from uber.ae and had a friend bring it with him
It's still x1.5 the price of a 970, which is way too much, I will wait till Christmas period to see if prices will fall down

Yeah you're right, only issue is PcandParts required 25-30 days for it to arrive.

Mactrotronics is wayyyy overpriced, any other places?

from GSC? and you waited for it to arrive from usa or it was available in store?

It is available now at GSC - but high demand I went with a custom pcb on the founder edition. For USD 610 including VAT.

Well mate its actually 488 × 1.1 = 534 USD , But I went through custom PCB of the gaming X :

Overclocked Out of the Box
Nicer Looks with the Black/ReD theme
Better Cooling (Overhead to OC More)
Fully new pcb
The Founder Edition has some fan problems
Immediate Availability with a Full Year Local Warranty (Special Orders Need 25 Days to arrive)

Thus to me it worth the USD 610 - 534 = USD 76 ;)

Well Our Forum colleague (Ngel : Mikelangelo) introduced me to this shop and the Shop GM is very service oriented persom and he offered me the parts with warranty respectively at a lower price compared to PC&Parts. They have a wide selection of parts for Computer Enthusiasts.
