Ruroken wrotei'm having the opposite experience of yours. I've tried both Wise and Mobi before and they were utterly bad. DSL isnt available where i live, so Connect for me was a breath of fresh air. Ping is acceptable (not perfect but good enough for mmos) and download speed has been quite stable (except for storm days).
Same situation as you , except I only play cs go - verdun - company of heroes - gta V
cs go -> good ping
verdun -> good but bad game servers for all players
company of heroes -> really rare to notice lag
gta v -> terrible because of p2p hosting.
lol so youre blaming 3 out of 4 games for their servers but not your internet provider?

let me tell you briefly my story with connect

I used to have the CPE machine that everyone got, my ping was extremely bad, yet im far like 4 KM of their main branch in nahr l mot. ( not like i live in faraya or something )

Ive called their sales and asked what could be the solution for a STABLE ping, they suggested to install a patch antenna so i get a " dedicated " internet + stable pings and better wireless signal, so i took the decision and went for it.

after couple of weeks I got my patch installed and charged $650 for installation - hopping i got a solution for my issue.

IT worked fine for first month after installation then ping was never stable, I had tons of phone calls with support .... nothing changed since then

My guess their antennas are bad + not enough bandwidth from orgero, their main router is always overloaded. yet its an awful bad internet, ping jitter is from 60 to 120 , packet loss is around 4%.

whoever wants screenshots and proofs all details can be given privately.
650$?

My experience was that their service started deteriorating so in 3 months, the only way to catch a signal was putting the router in some weird places in the house. At the end, they did a site survey and decided I should get the antenna, they told me it will cost 100$ (not 650$).

That was 3 weeks ago and no one followed up with me.
MAD wrotewhat's your ping xAzarian ?
120ish in cs go.
150ish in Verdun , google verdun servers and you'll see it's their problem.
GTA V so much lag , it's P2P hosted yo can also google that.

I', not saying they're the best. Yes they are overpriced, yes they have noobs as support staff but hey it's still better than other WIRELESS providers. Indeed, once DSL becomes available , I would switch directly.

Yup around 650, it was 555 + routerboard price

and the flawless ping im getting ( usually its 60 to 120 ) notice the packet loss.

So based on all the request timed out, I guess we can safely state that it's not made for online games.
Hybrid wroteSo based on all the request timed out, I guess we can safely state that it's not made for online games.

I can actually flood the forums with tons of screenshots of how shitty their ping is.

PS: I wish i spent those $650 on a more reputable company, I thought because they are a new company they gotta have a good reputation as a start for their reputation system .but oh well. Live and learn.

Plus they have FUP, its ridiculous, you pay $115 for a 5MB connection ( while its much slower most of the time ) you get 50 GB limited and 90 GB free night traffic - which is 140 GB in total for a 5MB plan. technically you can download 140 GB in 3 days with a 5MB connection. makes sense right ?
a month later
I called them again and they confirmed it is between 100 and 150$ I am not sure how you were charged 650$

They also said they are waiting for the shipment to arrive.
Meanwhile I am paying for a 5mbit conenction and getting 0.2

Do you recommend Connect for Kornet Chehwan area?
I saw a used Connect Wifi router for sale, can I simply buy it and start using prepaid cards?
About unlimited night traffic download: do they really respect it and is download speed the same or it drops?

So I bought a Connect modem but now I need a Wifi extension solution, I entered the Connect interface and there are no option to bridge it with another wifi router, so what did you used to amplify the wifi range? A repeater or a Wifi router with AP/client option?

They respect it in terms of speed but it us not really unlimited they have a specific fup based on your package.
For 5mbps it was 90GB. For the 2mbps it was way less.
You can call support and.ask them.

For extension, I used a repeater.

Also is it working finr with you or are you experiencing sudden connection loss throughout the day?
I tried to use it in achrafiye for a while but the signal keeps going down randomly and i have to restart the router (this is my second router btw).

Anyways it is a highly unstable connection if you compare it to dsl but it is a bit better than your local cable internet provider.

So they are advertising fake things?
Unlimited traffic download should mean no limits whatsoever, we can sue them for false advertising, one time there was a bug in the cyberia adsl system and they counted all my unlimited downloads + normal downloads and it reached 80gb if not more, though it was 4mb/s adsl connection so I can double the volume of downloads for the same given time, add to that adsl unlimited downloads begin at 11pm instead of 12, but still I would hate to see my connection stopped because they didn't respect the ''unlimited'' factor they advertised.
I tried it in Kornet Chehwan for 10mins (just to find the right spot), still not sleeping there, it has a good coverage as I can reach 4 to 5 leds on all the windows, I didn't notice any drop but it was only for 10mins, though the Wifi range of the modem is weird, it can cover a good part of the house but not the other, I mean when I used it from a bedroom it was awfully 1 or 1/2 bar in other bedrooms, but the salons which are on the other side of the house were having 2 bars, I will definitely get a wifi router or a repeater as the bedrooms have some interference.

Edit: called Sodetel and asked about if the unlimited night traffic was really unlimited and the tech guy said yes, I asked him if he was sure and if there was no cap and he said no it''s 100% unlimited, could the connect sodetel network differ from connect?
Sodetel and connect are totally different companies.
You should check with connect support.
I agree their wifi signal is weird that is why I got a repeater

I have the Connect from Sodetel.
Which repeater are you using? The Tplink WA850 ?
If yes the range is wide enough even with walls?

Here my results from Kornet Chehwan, it's really not bad (for Lebanon)

You do realize you're testing with the Connect servers? Try testing to Marseille Orange's server and see the difference. I have suffered a lot with Connect this year. They were really great when they started you know, like all other Lebanese companies. Every time I call their support staff they keep telling me it's the location of the Connect router despite that it was working really good 2 years ago. They keep promising and redirecting me to other IT guys and calls may last for 30mins or more with them for nothing. Only when you threaten to stop your subscription they will magically fix your 10kb/s connection.

The day DSL becomes available where I live I would not hesitate to directly unsubscribe from this expensive and unreliable connection... They even deleted all the posts from users complaining on Facebook and they disabled posts on their walls. No need to explain why they did that.

Are Connect (and Sodetel Connect) faking the download/upload count?
I mean I am not yet at half the month and it says 54% of usage already done while I never ever download more than a total of 50mb before midnight.
My parents iphones have no been updates nor the laptop macbook (I disabled auto-updates)
So how the heck they counted 4.6gb download when it should be at most 2.5gb?
Could they count from my quotas if I reached the max ''free'' limited night downloads and they are not telling me?
If so their ''free'' night traffic is total BS because I rarely download more than 1gb
Ok so the ''unlimited'' night traffic is Limited to a total of 30gb per month, so you can just download 1gb per night (no way to download a game)
Another thing I didn't like with the network itself is that when there are no electricity in the Metn area one or 2 of their regional antennas stop to work resulting in a loss of speed and reception (3 leds instead of 5)

yes, the 5mbps package would increase that "unlimited" to 90GB
I recently got a modem from Connect to use in my house in Kleiat.
I'm getting 4/5 signal strength which honestly is rather impressive for the region. It's more or less stable. Getting the full 5 mpbs.
The ping isn't very stable though, and when it is it hovers around 150 ms on europe servers and ~300ms on us servers. Sometimes it can have latencies up to 2k on google servers (Oo) thankfully it does not stay that high very long. Definitely not suitable for proper gaming.
One issue with their modems is that it is not compatible with the latest macOS. They blame Apple for it instead of fixing the issue. I bypassed the problem by simply connecting my own router by LAN cable to the modem and using the router for WiFi. Anyway overall it's a pretty nice service, especially since it doesn't take 2 months minimum to install (looking at you DSL). As for the FUP, I guess I'll discover the annoyances in the next few weeks.

2 years ago I was just like you. I thought that Connect is the best ISP ever. Now I'm still with Connect because I have no other solution.
The moment DSL becomes available I'd cancel my subscription the same day even if it takes 2 months or more for my application.
I just have 2 tips for you:
1)Never let them convince you that the problem is from your side. It is always from their side.
2)Avoid as much as possible to fall in their trap when they tell you please change the position of the machine or whatever the hell they suggest for more than 30min on the phone. Just threaten them to cancel the subscription if they don't fix it.

I'm telling you all this out of personal experience. You can check my old posts here, I was really happy with them at the beginning. Now, you can check my recent posts here and also check their facebook page in case they haven't deleted the tons of negative comments from customer on their "sponsored" posts.

I bridged the Connect modem with a Tplink Wifi router and it's very stable, but as you said there are some time in the day (but more at night) where you have strange hicups with internet, another thing is that it's way faster to connect to Emule servers than ADSL 4mb/s!!
It's about 1sec vs 4 secs, it's not important but weird
