Hey there AvoK95, any ideas where I can get a GTX 970 in Lebanon ? Or should I take a ''risk'' and buy it from newegg and have it shipped with borderlinx/LibanPost ?

Oh and Happy new year =D
I'll PM you. I have an ETA on card for aprox 10 days.
Are you getting a whole shipment or just a single card?
Supposedly just a single card, might get a heatsink for the CPU as well since I can't find any in Lebanon (No surprises). The CPU Being an Intel Haswell 4.0GHz - i7-4790K

So guys, which is the best/cheapest way to get the GTX 970 to Lebanon? Over the past few days I have noticed a HUUUGE demand for GTX 970 in Lebanon, I wish we had a more convenient way to get our hands on one. I don't know when pcandparts will have them in stock, their ETA is 7 to 10 days every 7 to 10 days.
the best way is to have it shipped with a friend of yours coming back to lebanon from the US
the second best is to have it shipped from the US to a friend in the KSA and let him (or one of his friends) bring it to lebanon

i went with the 2nd solution
That's very specific :P

I'm talking about the people who want it delivered to them directly, assuming there's no one to get it for them.
You can always use the libanpost/borderlinx. It would cost about 77$ shipped and taxed to get it to your doorstep but I wouldn't risk it seeing as there isn't anyone that can guarantee you a local warranty.
I'm aware of the warranty thing, it is something that we have to gamble with. Regarding the shipping, do you directly ship from Amazon which sends the items through libanpost/borderlinx? Or do you have to use an auxiliary shipping service like ShopAndShip which use one of these services?
Talking about risks, i received my asus gtx 970 yesterday, the box seal was broken, the inner seal, the bag they put the card was not it seemed intact , i haven't finished my build yet so i have no idea if this thing is working or not, really frustrated.

See ? Looks more of a liability rather than an investment to import it yourself. Hopefully it's just the customs that were checking it, best of luck with your build!

Ouch let us know how it turns out
A sneak about the Performance of the GTX 960 ... Two Variants will be available ( one with a 128 bit Memory Bus and the Second with a 256 Bit Memory Bus (Ti) - both will have a 4 GB DDR5 by Default , the Ti version actually super-pass the GTX 780 with a sub 300 Tag Price , so two 960 in SLI with a Maxwell Architecture will have a brilliant performance/value Ratio. I think with the 960 release , it will be a nail in the tomb of the 7 series (Kepler) and AMD's 2xx Series (the 280x and Even the 290 which is above USD 300). With the 960 release serious thinking to upgrade is recommended :)

My Advice for those who want to upgrade now , wait until the Release of the 960 (Especially the Owners of the 760 , 770 , 670 ,680 , 280 , , 270)

I am so enjoying my imported MSI Gaming 4G from the US that the only thing that is slowing it a bit with DSR 4K is my old CPU i5 750 and the 4GB only RAM, why not upgrade you will say, well I think it would be wiser to wait for next level i5 with DDR4 support. But still Borderlands Presequel and Battlefield 4 are running at 4K DSR at 60fps, Farcry 4 and Evil Within 1440p DSR...On a 40'' TV it's quite fantastic
@vegetaleb

DDR2 vs DDR3 vs DDR4
800Mhz vs 1333 vs 1600 vs 2342374923MHz

No additional performance in games. and DDR4 costs lots of moolah.

Unless you want to upgrade to the latest and greatest all together, I'd just get a 4670K and a midrange Z97 board and call it a day. (Unless you want DDR4 and a 5th gen CPU for the sake of upgrading like I said above)
Starting 1440p DDR it really makes a difference, specially on large monitors/TVs BUT you have to decrease smoothness to 0%.
Try it with Borderlands Presequel on 4K DSR and you will see ;)
