That's too much respect.
So now the internet is worst after the maintenance?

Much worse I'm not getting 1mb download with my 4mb connection. The internet used to work perfectly and I got max speed all the time, but it suddenly became unusable a couple of months back. Never had speed issues during the past 6 or so years with IDM.

Can anyone recommend who I could contact at IDM other than Tech support or customer service, as all they do is create new excuses every time. I am sure that they can do something to fix my connection, but for some reason they aren't or don't have the authority, and I'm not willing to switch to LTE for home use and downloads as GBs are expensive...
if feel you man
customer support is bad they are not well. trained and they automatically assume they are talking to a retard
After the maintenance nothing changed from my side, my 4mbps is still working but I suffer from SNR (Signal Noise Ratio) drop when it rains! Last time I contacted them I did email them at ccu@idm.net.lb and they were kinda of responsive and called me back! Well maybe because I said in the email: "Your internet is sh*t"

Edit: Well, the Internet is bad after some usage, last night it was acceptable, today even during the day which is supposed to be a better case than yesterday night it is acting very bad

Would the TP-Link WR1043nd router work with the TG582n provided by IDM? I need to get a router to manage bandwidth and want to make sure that I can use TP Link as my main router.
i use wr841n i connect a cable from the technicolor to the wan on the tp link and do my bandwith control there
All I need is the idm username and password? No need for them to configure anything?
allow me to explain i use the modem provided by IDM as modem only device wher i connect my phone cable.
then from the yellow ports in the back i have an ethernet cable connecting to my tplink router on the blue port ( so it's is like i'm my own cable provider) and the bandwith control is done on the tp link router.
I have a WR841N connected to a modem.
There are several ways to connect the router to the modem but my favorite way is:
1. Put the modem on bridge mode. This way the modem will only be responsible for the DSL part.
2. Connect the WAN port of the router to any LAN port on the modem. Set the connection type to PPPoE and enter your IDM username and password.
3. Profit.

On a correct setup, you will notice that the Internet LED doesn't light up on the modem anymore, only the DSL.

This way the router will directly get its IP from your ISP as the modem only works as a modem. So the router cleanly manages everything by itself from DHCP to routing etc. The drawback is that you will not be able to wirelessly access the modem through the router.

If you get to buy the 1043ND, please tell me how much it costed you.
Thank you both for the explanation. Both microcity and PcandParts have it listed on their site for 60$ incl VAT.

No FUP, no limit
agree no fup i left it on for 3 nights in a row to download games at 700kb./s
thanks for the replies , I wanna know if the ping is low and stable for online gaming
i think it depends on the area you are in some people complain some ( like me ) are quite happy with the ping if not for the unlimited night traffic i would have switched to ogero just because i can turn off the interleaving
As for the unlimited night traffic, no FUP here, I have been downloading since months and no problem at all.

You can ask them to put your DSL account in an online gamers poll, where your modem gets an IP which has good latency,
I don't know if they have some new technique for online games,
you can suffer from high pings sometime and that would be mainly in the peak hours i think, (where you have some congestion on your central "that what IDM Support always say during slow downs" ) maybe between 5 PM - 9 PM

I didn't call the support since Nov 2016...but is there any actions for performing our pings to even better results ?!

I did not know about the gamers poll? Is it free?

As for the slow down time from 5pm to 9pm, I'm facing similar issue and decided to investigate it, I was watching the SNR value at this time, the problem was it was getting very low in the time period you mentioned, so I started to cut down the power and test when the power was down at 12am, the 8.5dB SNR value increased to 11dB when I unplugged the UPS from the socket next to the phone line, and also increased to 16dB when power was down!

I believe at this time of the day the power usage gets higher and because the phone line is installed in an inappropriate way, the interference from additional power usage even from your neighbors will cause a high noise on the line.

I'm looking into ways to fix this and ill report if I still face slowdowns.
The last 2-3 days i'v been having rly slow internet during the day and in the night specifically (jounieh central)....on top of the imminence lag I get 40 KB/s average speed on YT for example. anyone facing similar problem?
i agree on the gaming pool thing it gets you to arround 100ms on steam games maybe 90 but when ogero turns off interleaving that cuts it down to 60 ms
