Humm for how long has it been in customs?
ps: keep in mind, their tracking is the most precise.

According to their tracking it has been there since 1/6, other trackers say it was held in 1/6 and released in 3/6
NuclearVision wroteGive them a call and explain it
Will do now and tell you how it goes.

Edit: She said they recieved the item from the jamerik the day other trackers said "released" which was in 3/6, so she took my name and number and said will contact head office to get an answer on what's up with that item and will contact me back.
Thanks for the tip mate

Edit 2: B, C, D items arrived to my apartment and A was sent to local post office... I guess that call to libanpost did the trick. Thank you NuclearVision ;)
You're most welcome brother.
So i bought the item whose seller claimed to use swiss post.
item was shipped on the 11th turned out that it's not swiss post. But rather a company named Buylogic.
Anyway the item was shipped to Turkey in 3 days only! and was promptly departed to Lebanon.
I expect it to reach Lebanon today.
So after all, swiss post is somehow "swiss".

Oh lol sounds promising, i hope customs don't mess up the hype.
They say if something looks stupid but works... It ain't stupid. I'd like to try this post and HK post as i hear it's pretty fast... PostNL however is just something else.. 15 days and no tracking information showing up.
Hongkong post, singapore post, china post, are pretty much the same.
The best are Private shipping companies that have private planes and ship directly to europe. I once got a parcel in one week, it was shipped to germany first.

Don't these charge extra? My friend had something shipped to him via "express shipping" and ended up paying extra $ by the customs.
Not private as dhl or ems, those are express.
But others like buylogic etc. Not big names companies.

For what its worth China has been slower for me than HK and Singapore

I agree, but the difference is really marginal. Mostly the waiting time is around 25-45 days.
The ones i'm refering to, take at most a week to reach lebanon. add another week for customs and delivery.
But in most cases, you aren't really aware of this, because most sellers like i mentioned still label the shipping as swiss post or registeredchina post or postNL and send it with a different postal service, sometimes better than china post, sometimes it doesn't even have tracking, which is really painful, in fact, I tend to choose items that cost more but shipped with registered mail, then the seller surprises me with an untrackable service, and most often apologies.
hello guys,

so the knife i bought was released yesterday from customs, it was shipped with postNL and it arrived faster than my previous orders which were shipped with china post. the seller promised 28 days. it took 9 days to ship out, 14 days to arrive to lebanon, and 11 days at customs clearance.

the only problem is that we recently moved. is there any chance to convince liban post to keep the item at their office and i will pass by to take it?
Yes just call them and take your id, they prefer that people come pick their items.
In case you moved to your summer house and the package arrived to your Beirut's address, will the postman give it to the concierge or he take it back?
I have a quick question,
what is the price above which i'll have to pay customs?
and do you think customs will cause any trouble if i ordered a quadcopter ( the size of the phantom called mjx x101)
thank you

As i have read 200$ is the limit, but im not sure if they may tax you or not because of the large packaging box. They may price it to what they think it really costs and make you pay. Is on aliexpress anyway?
vegetaleb wroteIn case you moved to your summer house and the package arrived to your Beirut's address, will the postman give it to the concierge or he take it back?
personally, this happened to me one time. they left it at the door step even though the concierge was there. i think it actually depends on the delivery guy.
A.L I advise you not to buy the quadcopter.
Last time I bought 4 helicopters WL Toys V911 and I had to go to the airport.
1st trip we checked the package with libanpost
2nd trip An aviation expert had to check if these toys with 5 minutes fly time can be used for spying.
3rd trip was to go to customs to pay 50.000 so they release the package and give it to me.

There was one or two trips between the 3 above where I went down for no reason... the expert didn't show up etc...

So yea it was a hassle. So if you can just ship it to someone who can put it in his checked luggage and get it to you it would be much easier.

Anyways this was back in July 2014, and it was my 6th and biggest shipment of helicos ($159.60) and didn't retry after that experience (After I bought the first one all my colleagues at work wanted). So if you do make the order let me know what happens. These helicopters are the best.
Anyone bought reading eyeglasses from AE?
It's super cheap but I wonder if they arrive broken here?

Sellers take that into consideration, don't they all wrap things diligently, even steel items, I never got a broken item. But hm glasses, just ask them for extra wrapping.
