According to several retailers here in Lebanon, we won't be seeing the Nexus 5 here for months
I'm seriously considering shipping it in from the US by DHL...

The specs are excellent, despite the small battery.

you open a free account, a mailbox gets created for you in the US, you ship to it, then it gets shipped to your address in Lebanon.
beware, shipping fees are exaggerated, especially customs fee.

This is ALWAYS normal in here! First when things get released they come extremely expensive but will get cheaper day after another until reaching some logical values!
I guess the nexus 5 will end up around 450 to 500 for the 16gb and 500 to 550 for the 32gb!

But it is not always the case!

LG G2 has been in Lebanon for 2 months and its price is still the same.

HTC One has been in Lebanon for more than 6 months and its price (with warranty) still exceeds the 700$ although several phones with better specs are now available for cheaper prices!

It is really frustrating!

I called LG Lebanon today and they thod me that Nexus 5 16 GB will arrive to Lebanon in the first 2 weeks of december and it can already be pre-ordered for 629$ (+18 months warranty). The lady also said that the 32 GB model "could" arrive.

Nexus 5 32GB is now 620$ instead of 710$
