I always had bad experiences with Nexus devices when it comes to availability in Lebanon. The Nexus S, Nexus 4, and Nexus 7 took more than a few months to arrive here. The Nexus 10 never arrived. In addition, they always have inflated prices and you can barely find any accessories or replacement screens for them.

Honestly I just gave up on Nexus devices in Lebanon. You sometimes end paying as much as other flagship phones from Samsung and HTC and have to wait like till they reach a quarter in their one year lifecycle before you can even find one. Hopefully this time it will be different but for my previously stated reasons, I'm not getting my hopes up.
Ziad87 wroteI always had bad experiences with Nexus devices etc...
Well i dont know if i can agree with you.
It's true it takes longer than other devices to reach lebanon due in fact to low interest and low relative sales. However they are worth the wait and come really cheaper then other flagship devices. For example i bought galaxy s3 last year for 500$ new but i didn't like it at all so i sold it and bought a new nexus 4maybe 2 weeks after reaching lebanon for 420$ new! And u know that nexus 4 is ten times better than galaxy s3!

However i am not so excited this year about the nexus 5 mainly because a trait of nexus devices is: small batteries, closed batteries, small storage, bad camera, small screens and very little software features than make you feel you really own a smartphone.
Although i hate touchwiz, i cannot find any device that can fulfill all the above except for Note 3!
I will wait however for nexus 5 and htc one maxx to see their offerings.
Yeah, I totally agree. The Nexus 4 was an exception though and it took around midway through its cycle to leach the low 400s range. I remember the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus debuted at the high 600-700 price ranges. I also prefer Nexus devices due to the stock vanilla Android experience. But yeah hardware-wise not always the highest end and usually late to the party. I was surprised that this time they are going with the Snapdragon 800 which is still very new.

I'm gonna go with the Note 3 this time. I think after replacing the touchwiz launcher and disabling some Samsung bloat I can end up with a nice and smooth device. Android is mature enough that the updates aren't as important as they were from before. So I can manage with having a Samsung device with an outdated OS version. In addition, half of the new changes are anyways introduced in the Google Play Services app which is always updated and available to everyone.

I am not sure if the following is true and reliable, but i heard that if you have a nexus device with LG warranty, LG will immediately give you for example a new screen to replace a broken one. But if you don't have the LG warranty, they will tell you that they don't have ready new screen s (even if they have them) and that they will order you a new screen and you will have to wait few weeks for it to come.

Any feedbacks on the above?
Nexus 5's battery, pricing and storage details leaked ahead of launch
While we still wait for the official announcement of alleged Nexus 5 tipped for October 31, the device's price has now reportedly been revealed.
The pricing comes courtesy Phonearena, which cites a tipster claiming that the long-rumoured Nexus 5 will come in two storage variants. The 16GB Nexus 5 will supposedly be priced at $299 (Rs. 18,500 approximately), while the 32GB Nexus 5 is expected to be priced at $399 (Rs. 24,500 approximately).

Additionally the site claims that the next Nexus smartphone would come in two different battery sizes for 16GB and 32GB storage models. As per the report, the 16GB is said to include a 2300mAh battery while the 32GB model would pack a 3000mAh battery.

We had already reported that the alleged Nexus 5 will come in 16GB and 32GB storage onboard, as the company has shifted to larger inbuilt storage on the device.

Looking back, we note the Nexus 4 was released for $299 for the 8GB variant (unlocked) and the 16GB variant was available for $399. However, both the Nexus 4 models shipped with the 2100mAh battery.

Nexus 5 appears in Google Play store for $349
As if the cacophony of leaks around the Nexus 5 weren't enough, here's the most official yet: Google's latest flagship phone has appeared on the Play store. The listing appears to have been made in error, as the phone cannot be bought and no details are available but the most important — a starting price of $349 for the 16GB version. While that's a higher barrier to entry than we saw with the Nexus 4, which also cost $349 at 16GB but had a $299 8GB model, it's still an attractively low price for what appears to be a more than capable device. Google's tagline for the LG-made phone is "Capture the everyday and the epic in fresh new ways."

Still very good compared to other flagships running between 600 and 700$ with lower Specs!
Well IF it's Snapdragon S800 then it will be the only thing beating S4/One,equaling G2
Camera wise the G2 and S4 have both 13mp against last year tech 8mp.
Same battery as on S4 and lower than on G2.
No camera enhancements like on Sense Zoe
Though it's a perfect phone for flashmaniacs (roms flashing lovers)
Although I like nexus phones a lot and consider myself a flashmaniac but i didn't see (till now at least) anything that push me to update from a nexus 4 to this nexus 5:
The software will be same and deja vu!
Although S800 is much better than S4 pro and FHD is better than HD, but There's nothing my nexus 4 can't do, and the performance will not be so different since the S800 will be pushing a lot lot more pixels.
Battery wise, this is my biggest disappointment! With around 5", FHD, and a beast it will be on pare with the nexus 4 if not worse.

butit is being said that android 4.4 and snapdragon 800 are more power efficient which should improve the battery life of the phone.

also, it seems that google has chosen a slogan that hints at camera performance for the phone (Capture the everyday and the epic in fresh new ways). so maybe there is something special about the camera that has not been leaked yet!

again, camera performance is not only aboutt MP. a relative has a 12 MP sony phone but the pics look horrible when you try to zoom.

it is better to wait for camera performance reviews and comparisons with other phones before making a judgment.
Well no SD slot is a bummer, why you will ask?
Contrary to other brands LG phones that come 16 or 32gb only come with 16gb to Lebanon, look at the G2!
This phone it out for 3 weeks and still not a clue about a 32gb for our country.
Nexus 5 will be the same scenario.
HTC phones have no SD slot but they bring the 32gb here
