samdib87 wroteWhat's with the hostility, this forum I believe is for sharing experiences and helping out as much as we can no? No one in Lebanon has enough money to throw around you know. other than the people with rich papis and mamis.
Well, as long as you're satisfied. FYI, no monthly / yearly fees. and definitely not 700$. Everyone has his own opinion in things.
Out of curiosity, if you receive a defective item from them, what is the process then?
Reason I ask is because I received an item once which was defective, and they shipped it back for 11$ from my home to US and return.
Also, the N4 is 550$ here, not UAE.
In all cases, make sure there are no VAT with them, because you'd end up paying more than what I did and more than what you'd get it for from here. Or any other product for that matter.
Sorry did not mean to sound hostile.
It's just that stock here is scary, I have had the misfortune of buying an HTC Phone back in 2010 and it was defective, only shop refused to refund my money or to replace it. I do not trust it here and have built a hatered towards anything Tech related.
That said, I have never gotten any defective product from the US thus far, which explains why I prefer that route. Also where did you find the N4 ? I looked at Class, Khoury Cell, Private Cell and many other places, they either never heard of it, or they don't have it n promise a summer release.
I live in Ain Saadeh, I don't drive, so I also think of practicality. If the only shops that do have it are in Dahieh or further, I don't think I can. So yeah, getting it from the US for cheaper with international warranty, is what I prefer.
On another note, if I receive a defective product, DOT promises to do the RMA at no extra cost, but obviously that will take quite a long time, a month or 2 So yeah, if you are the type of person that cannot wait, it would be better if you got it from a place here that you trust. My problem as I mentioned before is that I can't trust technology here.
As for VAT, I have bought my ASUS Transformer Infinity Tablet through them, was $478 at Newegg, landed in Lebanon, after VAT, and all other service fees, I ended up paying $620. Not a heck of a whole lot if you ask me. Plus that Tab does not nor will it ever exist here. So, they are not expensive and are cheaper than going through any other services. Only down side is the 30 to 90 day wait, which depends on availability more than anything else.
Finally, I have never forced my opinion on anyone, was just stating my preference. Sorry again if it came out the wrong way. I was also sharing an extra option for people like me that they can use.
On that bombshell it's the end of my post ;)
