A thread dedicated to this awesome smartphone called the Nexus 4
Everything about it can be discussed, whether it is the price or a review and please my fellow Geeks keep it clean :)

Anyway what I loved about this phone is mostly it's (you have surely guessed) price!
350$ on the play store is really good. It has the specs of a high quality smartphone and the price of a middle quality phone!

Pros: All it's specs
Cons: No SD card, non replaceable battery

What do you think about it? How much will it cost here in Lebanon?
Excellent phone, but need to wait for real usage to get proper reviews. Also Android 4.2 is very interesting from a developer's point of view.

One small note regarding the battery, i saw somewhere that to replace the batteries you just have to remove the scews holding the cover. So not a big deal but not easily accessibly if you keep a spare with you.

The battery life is good, but if I could get a higher capacity I wouldn't say no ^^
PS: It lacks 4G but I don't see it as a Con because I don't find 4G to be this important.... even if it is proposed by April like the minister said, the data plan will be "over-priced" OR have a low quota, better stick to 3G which price should drop (should, not Will, because we are not sure)
this device would have been perfect if not for the limited storage capacity 16 GB. other than that the phone is more than excellent, its got the best SOC qualcomm S4 Pro Quad core, with 2GB Ram ( the fastest smartphone chip in the market), a 4.7 1280*768 IPS display. wireless charging, 8 mp Sony BSI sensor. The design of the phone is distinctive specifically with holographic pattern. The battery shouldn't be an issue since the capacity is 2100mah, which should put it on par with the galaxy s3 which should last even heavy (ish) users a full day. On top of all that you get the usual Google goodies ranging from the latest OS 4.2 to long term update support without the wait. All of that at starting price of 300$, i think its safe to say that Google is pushing the boundaries of innovation to its limits, at the same time making it available to a wide range of people. over all 9/10, would give it a 10/10 if Google offered 32 GB model.
Another con: bad design. But the price is really tempting

I don't care much about the design, I only care about it's performance :)
By the way LG said that the phone costs 599$ What are they doing?
You will always find cheaper prices in local stores.
They may have said that they'll make retailers sell it at that price. It will still be available at the Google Play Store for the aforementioned price. However, I don't know if that is confirmed. I don't see the reason behind it. It will simply not sell in retail stores if that's true.
I saw that price too as a rumor in a couple of tech blogs. The rumor mentioned that this might be a big possibility since Google is selling at or near cost and doesn't care about making a profit, while LG will mark up the price accordingly.
doesnt make sense, they are practically limiting th sales to google play.

Hi all,

The Nexus 4 is the only Non-HTC phone I'm considering getting (4 years of HTC phones).
I work in the IT business and have direct contact with local suppliers.

Official Channels:
LG will have the Nexus 4 in stock by January due to delays from the manufacturer (overwhelming demand)

Unofficial Channels:
The Nexus 4 is arriving during next week, but since it's official price isn't that high i would suggest waiting for the official version (for warranty).

I know I will enjoy that phone, I hope you will too.

Cheers
The retail will be $600 (My cousin works with LG Lebanon's suppliers)
It's the best android phone so far. But i heard some users having issue with the screen sensitivity.
I cant wait to buy this phone. Iam upgrading from iphone 4 to nexus 4. It'll be my first android phone.
The price is going to be 550$ i guess. Hope less than that
