  • Azachariou wroteIt's not only IDM, Cyberia posted the same message on their website so it was probably a govt' approved statement with an "INSERT NAME HERE".
Cyberia , IDM and GDS are sister companies

Not necessarily, you can go as low as 6dB. Even 3dB sometimes.
so having a non fixed SN margin while connection is good is normal?
  • semaan wroteThats mean there is interference on this phone line
now the task is to find this interference

Danny wroteHey guys , i applied for cyberia dsl 2 months ago and they haven’t istalled yet ,they’re saying that ogero has to turn on the dsl on my line at my local centrale .i installed the modem/router and the broadband led started blinking last weak meaning my line is dsl ready but cyberia customer is still saying that i have to wait . Yesterday the blinking stopped.

Has anyone applied for Cyberia dsl lately or in 2017,i wanna know how much It took for them to install.

I posted on the “adsl installation time in beirut” thread as well .
DSL blinking doesn't mean your line is ready, the DSL led must be solid green, which means the link is established and awaiting pppoe authentication.

I thought that if its blinking it means its ready and when i enter the username and password and the connection is established the light will stop blinking and remain on.

Thank you for clearing it up ,its very irritating ,waiting 2 months for a dsl connection is nerve wrecking .
Danny go to Twitter and send @ogerotelecom a tweet about the delay they might speed it up...
  • nuclearcat wroteor try 1.1.1.1, often they are better than google

  • ISP are already linked by fiber optic connection problem between Central and Home will never be solved unsless fiber to the home is introduced.

As of next month most ISPs will remove the unlimited night, unless OGERO really opens the bandwidth the situation will remain status co.
  • Alfa released it yesterday 2$ for 100MB
  • The G2 will be officially available through the dealer in Lebanon the 2nd week of October price is estimated at around 699$ VAT included.

LG Lebanon had a demo on 2 unites last week in their offices one black and one white.
  • Sfenjy wroteThanks Avok just one more question. My main concern is the new law that ArzLeb was talking about in the post above. If I buy s4 from amhaz ( which is not considered LEGIT) will i face problems or its just the same. Can CTC lock my phone or something ?
Any phone you will buy after June 1st from the market, put a sim card in it, dial a number (yourself) if it rings then buy it whether its from the dealer or not.

Every working phone after june 1st imported by the dealer (CTC for example) or not is legit, our market has no exclusivity law and anyone can import mobiles if they have the proper license.

Already Amhaz is bring phones in a legit way and they are still cheaper then CTC, which means CTC has to sort this matter up, while his price compared to other brands got very close.
  • Joe Cell in ashrafieh already fixed more then 3 ipads and some of them were bricked...
  • Amhaz will be forced to have a 15% rise in prices, but this rise will not show before 2 or 3 month at least because he already stacked up on some flagship devices.

Even with this 15% rise take the Galaxy S4 for example selling 630$ it will be 730$ lets say (Amhaz), it will remain cheaper then CTC who are selling it now for 880$.

Buying from Amhaz will be totally legal, the market is open, all registered "importers" will be able to get any device even if the brand has a dealership in Lebanon and anyone can apply for "importer" status.

iPads and Tablets wireless wont get affected by the price rise.

As for iPhone, talks already launched with Apple and soon it will be announced, official iPhone support in Lebanon through both operators just like the BlackBerry one.
