Hii guys. Iam wondering if any of you got a new ipad and what their opinion about it?
I dont have an ipad and looking to buy one. But not sure which one to get the new ipad or ipad 2? Because i have seen some youtube videos that shows The new ipad warms up ir heats really quick after 10 minutes unlike ipad 2. And ipad 2 is a bit faster openning apps than the new ipad which is weird.

Iam confused. If anyone has the new ipad please share your opinion.
@Moba yeah the IPad 3 Overheating Problem are true and it's Mainly Related to the Device new LCD Backlight, However during test it was clear that the 3rd Generation is at least 10*F Hotter from it's predecessor thus, some user's get an error screen telling them that it must cool down before being used again.

Note: It gets REALLY Hot after 10m from running Real Racing 2 & temperatures were like 96.8 or 117 degrees Fahrenheit after a very short period of use, such as 10 or 30 minutes.

That's not good then. Well i guess the retina display needs a lot of power. I just dont understand why apple hasnt put a quade core processor.
Good thing they didn't if so people will be hiding from Exploding Apples :D, if you want my Suggestion get the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime "TF300" Relatively Cheaper From IPad in Lebanon thus you have a + add on which is the Docking Station Keyboard.
I have had the new iPad for a while now. No overheating problems for me. I don't play games that are resource-intensive so I wouldn't know what would happen then. Apple has made an official statement about this saying that the iPad was operating below the heating standards they have set.
Yes, but the new iPad displays a warning message if it overheats, saying it will need to cool down. Now if you ask me, that PowerVR SGX543MP4 is mighty powerful, it's the same GPU found in the PS Vita. But I don't think the PS Vita overheats. And that one has a Quad Core. I'm guessing it's all related to the backlight for the retina display?

Samer, how is your experience with the new iPad? Any WiFi issues, or anything?
Actually Samer it's not Happening with all User's thus, when it does the Error Screen will appears. I heard about the Statement and to be honest I'm not Confident about that, the company claims that the iPad 3 could be used for up to 10 hours on a single charge, but many users are not even getting a tenth of that time before the device overheats??? Recent Tests already Showed that the 3rd Generation is at least 10*F Hotter than it's Predecessor.
Let's face it they already sold three million of the new iPads, but several users have reported that they are returning the device, which could cost the company million of dollars if the problem is widespread enough.
guys those wifi or heating issues are less than 5%
same stuff happened with the dead signal of the iphone 4
Samer, how is your experience with the new iPad? Any WiFi issues, or anything?
Nope, no issues for me.

@tarekelkhaledi, please get into the habit of linking to your sources (except if you're talking out of personal experience or opinion). It would make your replies more credible and allow us to verify your statements :)
Make sure your sources are reliable (AnandTech and ConsumerReports come to mind) and not some biased electronics blog.
@samer, good to hear that your not facing any Issues.

Note: It's based on Both Mine / Customer Experience, as for the Sources you got it mate ;).
Edit: After my Long Experience these Biased Blogs doesn't exist in my reliable sources :)

@ballad: Less than 5%?
http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/24/apple-responds-over-iphone-4-reception-issues-youre-holding-th/
I'm not interested in the whole article / story, I'm interested in the fact that it is a design disadvantage. The left bottom corner. And that this issue did not only exist with the iPhone 4. It's easy to create statistics...

WiFi or heating issues less than 5%? Really? These are also a matter of design. Less than 5% is severe, too. Means if 20 million people bought it, 1 million people would suffer from it. That's rather high if you ask me.
I agree with you Ramzi, in the World of Consumer Technology the Slightest Issues like a 1% called significant then how come 5%?? at the End it's a Design Flaw but Like any Big Company "Denying" is the Key to move forward.
Well anyway guys. I ordered ipad 2 after doing some research and watching many videos. Even if there was no issue on wifi or overheating i wouldnt buy ipad 3 because let's face it let's look at the facts. Apple yet again didnt do major upgrades to the new ipad. It got now 5 mp camera. Well most of the people dont use their tablet to take pics or film with it so need to upgrade the rear camera. It would be great if the fromt camera was upgraded. Dictation on ipad 3? Are you kidding me? No siri? Yea not worth buying it. And at last i admit the resolution is amazing on ipad 3 but with dual core processor as ipad 2 got well i dont think it worth buyin it. Plus it's heavier than ipad 2 and yea i know it got bigger battery but i dont want this big battery if it's going to only 10 hours of usage same as ipad 2 and it takes about 7 hours to charge. Really? 7 hours of charging for only 10 hours of usage?? While on ipad 2 it takes 3 hours of charging. Finally i've seen many videos comparing the speed of new ipad vs ipad 2 and honestly ipad 2 beats the new ipad in every aspect.
iPad 2: Around 450$
iPad 3: Around 550$

i bought the iPad 3,it gets a little warm after a couple rounds of Shadowgun but nothing really serious,my Gnex gets hotter tbh.

What is a tablet? it's basically one big piece of glass you interact with. so you're underestimating the effect of the high resolution display on your every day use of the ipad.
i upgraded from the ipad 2 to the ipad 3 and it's really a world apart. The screen alone makes using it a joy and is a killer feature. Books, magazines, websites etc.. are all rendered beautifully. they're all grainy and dull on the ipad 2 by comparison.
no overheating problems whatsoever for me either.
5 months later
Sorry for bumping this up but i would like to know from where did you guys get the ipad 3 ? and would you recommend Stars Communication and is there any store that gives hardware warranty and what's the cost for the ipad3 32gb wifi+3g ?
Stars Communication is reliable. Apple provides you with a 1 year international warranty that any authorized reseller should honor (but I think they usually ship them off to Apple, so it might take a while).

when i called stars they told me that it doesn't have hardware warranty only 1 year software warranty and the price of ipad 3 wifi+3g 32gb is 695$ .
What they meant to say is that they don't give you a "store warranty". Apple's international one year warranty applies to all their products.
Any electronic device won't have hardware warranty by default. It's all in software. Besides, the hardware doesn't get damaged by itself, unless you drop the thing or cause physical damage. Even the manufacturer's warranty doesn't cover hardware in electronic devices.
