I can always fix any software defect on my own, but if I get a faulty screen, for $600 they better replace it! Oh and whoever thinks there's no such thing as faulty hardware being shipped, probably knows nothing about quality control.
I never said it's not stupid =D But it is true. The screen can't break on its own can it ? It's not their responsibility if you broke it.
I know me or you can fix the software, however an average Joe can't. All they know is how to use them, and they're not geeks like us.
If your screen was faulty when you first got it, then of course they would replace the unit without a single peep out of them. But of course you have to pay for the shipping of the unit to the reseller.
never mind for software warranty but i do for hardware warranty just in case of a deficit what if it just stopped working ?! would they figure out what's wrong or they'll just say we don't cover hardware warranty and i am screwed for 700$ ?
If you tell them it just stopped working and if it's still under the warranty period, they will the replace the unit.
That's the point , warranty ? they don't offer any kind of warranty after you stepped out of their store .
I actually prefer that, store warranties actually make things worse! I prefer them not to offer me no warranty at all because I'll still have the manufacture's warranty.

That won't be necessary, you just ship it to them, or take it to the nearest Apple Care in your Region. Would you prefer the store to give you a warranty by themselves ? Fine. There is a company [Not giving names] that brings in refurbished laptops and other products and they give you 1 year warranty, from their store. So, a customer got their laptop with a faulty speaker, and the seller sends it to "Warranty" And they scratch the heck out of the back panel. So much that, the "Toshiba" logo was no longer noticeable. Now you'd think that "Oh well, that's just one shop" Well what about 2 others ? 2 other shops that have the same problem ? Not to mention the laptop was put together with tons of missing screws and the ones that were on it weren't tightened at all !

So, what do you prefer ? The manufacture's warranty, which you pay a few bucks to have it shipped ? or the store's warranty which will fix your laptop which has "One leg" and sends it without any "legs" at all ?

iPads are manufactured in China. However, the warranty is valid in any official Apple Store worldwide (in 14 countries).

Judge man , i didn't denigrate any advises or tips i really appreciate the given information but everyone knows that it's a nightmare to ship & receive and pay the taxes/customs , Tracking ... especially when " This is Lebanon " and when someone says to me " take it to the nearest apple care in your region " then this is not real when we're on a Lebanese forum and we both knows that there's no apple care center .

WOW shipping is so difficult that with some guys in here, during 3 months time, I have received, let's see, 14 SHIPMENTS, 3 systems-worth of computer parts, etc... in the order of thousands of dollars.
