what? in beirut and they cannot handle it!
i live in achrafieh and i think i am not gonna go for the 2Mbit unlimited anymore but i don't know if Alnahr CO can handle it, i never asked them. Anyway ogero is on a strike.
Chosen2k where in Beirut? I am in Mazraa and I was told that it is undergoing upgrades
guys they "ogero" are screwing with us ...i have turned off my router for 2 days now ...on the first day they added 800mbs to my quota and now 1gb ....how is that possible when i'm not at home and the router is turned off

anyone else reporting fake quotas ?

I've seen that in recent months. One time on day 1 of the month by 2pm they had our usage up to ~3GB on a 1mbps connection, all PCs off and WiFi disabled. Probably meter was not reset correctly on flip of month.

I occasionally notice a few extra 100s of MBs added at some point during the month. I keep a bandwidth meter running on my router, and compare to Ogero's meter every few days. For this month they're still pretty close.

My router:
Date Download Upload Total
2014-07 1,324.52 MB 143.44 MB 1,467.96 MB

Ogero:
Upload Download Total
123.114 1336.894 1460.224
If it doesn't correctly flip, won't it show all of the previous month's consumption instead of a random number like 800MB?
It sounds like they are cheating to increase your bill at the end of the month.

Another explanation is that the counter was reset one or two days early and the 800MB were used on the 29th and 30th of last month.
Ogero's counter isn't that accurate. When I re-subscribed to Ogero a few month ago, their meter was going up and down 1-2GB everytime i checked it on my first month. Since then, I don't trust it's accuracy.
Pings Getting High anyone??

Oh no sorry i meant that i already had 2mb
Hmm I just figured out something, given that Ogero's DSL plans/prices/policies strictly follow the Official Newspaper, doesn't that mean for a FUP to be implemented on the unlimited plan it also has to appear in the Newspaper? does anyone know if there's a mention of FUP in the decree?
I would like to vist ogero today ,can anyone confirm if there is a strike or is it over ?

What i heard in the news is they are going to specify every Wednesday from every week for the strike, for all the government offices.I think that includes Ogero.
5th of July so far and still no speed upgrades(1mbit/s to 2mbit/s I think being the most common), kinda makes me wonder if we will indeed have to wait until August for it to happen or is it a few days away...

Well I called yesterday asking for a password reset of my online account, and I also asked when we might get the upgrade. The operator said within this month, it could be within a few days or by the end of the month.
So by reading some posts one may expect the speed upgrade anytime soon before next century and the invention of something much more interesting than internet ?
A friend of mine who has his 2mbit/s unlimited package activated early by Ogero(by a "wasta"), he told me he downloaded so far 50GBs this month and hasn't experienced a single drop of speed or higher ping so far.
I told you guys that there won't be fup. There is no mention on their website about fup or in the jaride rasmiyye.
@Raficoo is the download speed stable? Or does it go down during peak hours?
Then why didn't the rest of us with 1mbps accounts get upgraded to 2mbps speed and got instead got only the quota upgrade ?
