Is anyone seeing a higher number of FEC and CRC errors today? The SNR margin is still good (around 8 db as usual) but the CRC errors are around 1000 per hour (I used to get max up to 1000 in 24 hours) - Mazraa Centrale
Annex M from Terranet, or set your modem to G.DMT or ADSL1 has slightly better upload speed for an extra of 100kbps compared to adsl2+ on long distances.LifeEngineer wroteIs there is any way to increase/improve upload speeds on DSL Ogero!?
I wonder if forcing VDSL even at lower speed/longer distance would help, running at much higher frequency. Gotta convince Ogero on that one though.Adnan wroteI looked for a filter for our elevator's inverter but no-one sells them. And it's too much hassle to connect a cable from another way.
I am protesting for better frequency regulations.
Sorry not so much into this kind of stuff, so please bear with me.Hemorrhoids wroteAnnex M from Terranet, or set your modem to G.DMT or ADSL1 has slightly better upload speed for an extra of 100kbps compared to adsl2+ on long distances.LifeEngineer wroteIs there is any way to increase/improve upload speeds on DSL Ogero!?
Annex M setup should be supported from the ISP side, Ogero told me that they do not support it, recommended HDSL which has horrible speeds as well. VDSL should provide a minimum of 5mbps if you're eligible, what speeds are you getting?LifeEngineer wroteSorry not so much into this kind of stuff, so please bear with me.Hemorrhoids wroteAnnex M from Terranet, or set your modem to G.DMT or ADSL1 has slightly better upload speed for an extra of 100kbps compared to adsl2+ on long distances.LifeEngineer wroteIs there is any way to increase/improve upload speeds on DSL Ogero!?
1st, I'm on Ogero, not Terranet.
2nd, I just checked the modem settings:
DSL Modulation Type is set to Auto Sync-up and has value of : ADSL_2plus
Annex Type: Annex A/I/L
Can I simply change the modulation type? Without contacting ogero or anything like that?
I'm getting like 10 to 15mbps down and 1mbps up.Hemorrhoids wrote Annex M setup should be supported from the ISP side, Ogero told me that they do not support it, recommended HDSL which has horrible speeds as well. When i had DSL, I used speedify VPN for bonding with LTE modem (limited at 1kb/s download, unlimited up) to have proper upload speed without load balancer issues, as many hosts do not behave the same when they see requests from different IP (e.g mega.nz upload used the ADSL upload with the load balancer)
xazbrat wroteOgero is acting strange---speed is better for me anyway at least, the max potential speed, but for the last couple of weeks, there has been some sort of dns issue on their end. I have change the dns settings in my modem to Google, Cloudflare and Ogero's default and no luck. Sites that are affected by this are sort of random and include things like reddit, naharnet, 247sports, and yahoo mail to name a few. I can use a vpn on each browser and the issue disappears, so I am pretty confident that it is something on their end. Luckily, the free vpn I use gives me me 10 gig of data a month.
Anyone else have this issue?
Tempto wroteYeah, something's up on my end too. I have the 2Mbps unlimited plan. I can't tell whether it's an issue on their end or something caused by a recent Windows 10 update, but recently my internet has been a lot slower than usual, though I've been experiencing some very strange symptoms. While previously I had my ethernet NIC's duplex settings set to 10 Mbps full, it's now a lot slower (sometimes only goes up to 50kb/s) than when I set it to 10 Mbps half (goes up to around 180kb/s). Any other duplex setting doesn't work, though it was like that before - it's just half being suddenly faster than full that makes no sense. In comparison, I normally get 200-240kb/s. It feels like it's being artificially limited in some way. WiFi on the PC at least seems to also have that ~180kb/s limit so it's not just the ethernet card.
Results from testing other devices in the household are inconclusive. Sometimes it's fast and sometimes not, but either way I can't conclusively determine whether it's due to some Windows-related shenanigans or some Ogero problem.
it is not you, it is for everybody I guess, IDM and Ogero ADSL are down now in Lebanon, at least confirmed in North Lebanon, also I am not sure about the rest of the ADSL services, but Alfa 4G is working for meAVOlio wroteOgero internet is down.
Am I the only one or...?
