Usually they wont disconnect, but latency will change a lot, thats specific to current situation with backbone in Lebanon. If transition are manual or there is some sort of balancing solution that change bgp manually - yes it will disconnect, but for anyone except gamers it is not noticeable.
Hi guys, so my ping is almost always high and unstable but friends of mine who have ogero said that they have 100ms ping and if I call them they would help me, so should I bother calling?
Is this a good sign or bad omen? In the past week, my telephone and internet (both Ogero) have been going out from between 1 half hour to an hour. There have recently put a what looks like a huge cabinet near me--is there hope that they are connecting everything or is this 'business as usual' for Ogero. Can't say the telephone went out much before this week.

Hi neighbor. I am sort of near BLOM, and am not sure where the crystal water building is. I have heard of it, just not sure of where it is. Anyhow, if you want to see what I saw (hope it is a cabinet), just head up the main road and take the right like you are going to Soussa. Keep going straight and about 300 meters or so after Soussa, there is a sharp right turn (like 135 degrees). On that intersection on the right side, you should find a EDL transformer house and what looks like a building with Ogero emblazoned on it. It is probably 3x3 meters and sitting on some blocks.

I hope it is a cabinet. :)

Hello again neighbor, i think i know where it is now. Whenever i go there i'll see it. Thank you so much. I hope it is a cabinet too.
The internet is terrible now, I had lag spikes and even at low 100ms ping I was feeling the lag in-game I called 1516 they said there were no support because there is a problem that should be fixed in an hour from now, what is happening..
Well yesterday, during the storm my internet suddenly died for about 10 mins (same thing for my neighbor). I don't know if EMI from lightning can cause the DSLAM to restart. The 4th modem light (the DSL light) just went off.

Internet with Ogero has been bad for the past few months (several outages, high latency to Europe, etc...). Perhaps it's not as bad as other ISPs but it's definitely worse than it was last year for example.
No I think there is something more serious these 2 days, look at IDM's thread they also have some maintenance going on tomorrow.
I have been facing alot of packet loss specially in peak hours on my ogero DSL in Bekaa, its unusual but been nearly everyday lately..
Guys, do you experience problems with Ogero DSL at every night?
Some of my friends told their connection going totally off, but i am curious if DSLAM going off on Sync state, or auth server (BRAS/NAS), so maybe we can do over troubleshooting here and get clearer picture, which will help you to contact support and describe problem better (if anyone experience same problem).
Sometimes it goes off with the red led on internet on the DSL router, but it doesnt happen often enough to be a big problem. But packet loss on the other hand is becoming very annoying every evening.

also the guest user account provided by ogero to access to router doesnt give alot of information so we can rarely know whats really happening.

What's happening is that your SNR margin is getting REALLY LOW in the evening. Been having the same issue for the past 2 months or so.
Yup same problem here with ogero DSL in jdeideh.. experiencing packet losses and everynight after 12 pm i get disconnected for like 10 mins and rarely like 5 hrs+.

I dont hear any noise when i check my phone line, and my dsl hardware with the phone line are relatively new. It can be perfectly stable for months at a time. So could it be a problem from their end? because low SNR margin as you stated means that I might have noise interfering with my line or am I missing something?

thanks for the help

Well what's exactly happening to me is that during the day SNR is around 15-20 and the connection is running perfectly.. then between 5-8pm the SNR starts going down until it reaches around 5-7, more packet loss, can't even use google search sometimes etc.. Then in the morning it goes back to normal.

As to why this is happening? I have no idea. I've called ogero more than 5 times, never got any explanation and they always promised to send someone to check the line or whatever, but no one ever showed up!

Also I've asked an electrician if this could be like an electricity problem interfering with the line or whatever. He said if that was the case then it wouldn't just happen at night but would rather be a constant problem and it would fry the phones or whatever.
Don't worry, you're not alone in this.
My line can be running fine in the morning and early afternoon (2 to 3 CRC errors per hour) when suddenly, as soon as it gets dark outside (around 4:30 / 5:00 pm), I start getting around 30 to 50 CRC errors per hour. This usually lasts till around 9:00 / 10:00 pm.
I don't know if the errors are due to problems/noise on the line due to people using lights and electric appliances (heaters, etc...) at night or if it's due to some kind of packet collision on Ogero's side because more people are home and online at night.

To be fair I'm quite confused as well. On some rare occasions (like once or twice a month), the connection would be fine even at night then boom once the electricity switches SNR goes SHIT.
