^THIS guy, is speaking the truth :P Now you can consider:
770$ for an Acer laptop
850$ for an ASUS laptop with epic support.

Which one would you go with?

I also suggest you perform a CPU comparison first, to check if anything will bottleneck or not.

yasamoka you seem to know what you're talking about; do you know if the Asus laptop mentioned earlier is a worthy oppenent to other core i5 laptops?
I got a feeling that yasamoka is secretly Tarek :p They are worthy opponents, so if your not on a tight budget and dont want to rush in buying a laptop then consider the asus also.

same feeling XD but i dont mind really, i just want an honest proffesional answer since my knowledge in cpu are more the .humble. I didnt.understand.thought, do.you mean that core i5 ones are.considerably better.or.the other way around?
hahah of course I'm not Tarek, Tarek has his own lebgeeks account and he was banned, I'm a close friend of Tarek. Second thing you could probably guess we're not the same guy due to the difference in language. Check his facebook page to know what I mean! :P

As for the CPUs, I will look into a good comparison. Since the Core i5's are dual cores on laptops, then they are just a continuation of the Core i3, contrary to the Core i5 desktop which are usually quads, while only Core i3's are dual.

The AMD A4 is dual, they say that OCed it closely matches the Core i3. While that is a user review, I will delve deeper by means of a proper review. Take into consideration that laptop CPU OCing is indeed very limited, so even at stock they are probably close competitors. I will check, as I said.
thanks yasamoka :D out of topic, there was another topic in lebgeek and you were supposed to say whats the meanimg of your name and you didn't XD

hahaha! "Ma ken 2ili jalad", but anyways here it goes:
When I was young, I used to play Empire Earth. The priest there, in the stone age or whatnot, used to go "yakasopa!" So my name started there, then changed gradually to become yasamoka. It's my internet alias, and I use it wherever I register. Heck my "Real" name in many websites is Yasamoka :P real name is Ramzi Sabra, hope that puts rests to rumors :P: http://www.facebook.com/yasamoka
Alienware recently hit the virgin megastore and it is known to be one of the most powerful gaming laptops ever. only problem is (as everything in lebanon) its too expensive.
The m14x and m18x are the only 2 out of the 4 laptops in the series available in lebanon both priced at $2990 and $3990 each. Ridiculously expensive ! Even the iMac is $2500 tops ! Hopefully price will go way down cuz i wanna get the m14x unless the m11x reaches lebanese stores.
For more info., go to http://www.alienware.com/Landings/laptops.aspx
Way expensive for a laptop.Speaking of dell , how much is the dell xps 15 nowadays?
Could you copy the text in the pdf , i cant open it on my phone
