No of course it isn't that bad, but Low for BF3 is something special. Battlefield 3 is one of the only games that really looks good even at low settings, but BF3 also relatively doesn't run much faster at low than it does at high, the difference is 2x in the performance hit only, unlike most other games.

You're welcome. I just need to gather the info required. It's really scattered and most isn't even available in English.
If its difficult to find information then let it go , i will check them later. Thanks anyway
Metalloy wrotehe wants a laptop to play on decent games in low settings for a year; is it really that hard?! then he wants to buy a ps3, so what?!! some people are still buying ps2 till now! and claiming ps3 and xbox 360 are dead is really a bold statement! their replacement.are.not even showcased yet!
now who can direct achmed.to the right decision please do, he knows that he's not.getting a dedicated laptop for gaming he just want to be able to.enjoy some from time to.time, and those who cant.help stop critisising; it is doing good to no one.
we're helping him get the best bang for the buck,NOT criticizing, but if he wants to be sorry later and loose money, then sure, takes 5 sec to help with that!
I have noticed that the 6650 runs some games at better framerate than the gt540m and vice versa. It seems its a deadlock , i will choose the laptop based on other specs ( core,processor,ram...)
@ shant: i know your intention is good and you only mean to help, but i am pointing out that Achmed has priorities, the first of them is he wants a laptop and not desktop, so there's no point on stating the benefits of desktop over laptop because im sure he already knows them. That being said i meant no disrespect in anyway to you or other fellow lebgeekers so i hope none is taken by your side :)

@ achmed: im looking forword to know what laptop youll buy evantually and your personal review for it; a month or two from now i should be getting my own and you review shiuld help me alot :)
@metalloy Thanks for the support,i dont worry i will post every detail about it when i choose one and buy it

Achmed wroteI found an offer on back of a magazine of technomania . Acer aspire 5750G with intel core i5,2.4ghz sandy bridge,gt 540m ,1 gb dedicated vga , 4gb ddr3 , 500gb hdd all for 699$$ with 3 years warranty .So is it a good deal?
this seems to be a good deal to me, but don't expect miracles out of this laptop
Just one thing, the graphic card isnt identified in the ad , i just got it by googling the exact model. So its definitley the same?
i asked R.O.G to prorpe a laptop for under 1000$ that will mostly be used for Acad and media and.some casual gaming; he proposed Asus A53-TA-XN1 for 800$.
now i really liked the specifications and read a review about it which was really positive and encouraged me to buy it even more. But, in a time that an 800$ budget for a laptop allow us choose from one of many core i5 laptops im the market, is buying an Amd A-series A4-3300M running laptop a bad choice?
The acer has i5-2410 so compare them .One problem with choosing the asus is that ROG doesnt have a shop so you basically meet a stranger to get the laptop

Ya 7abibe don't throw stuff around without having knowledge of what you're talking about. He has a store, he's just relocating, and will reopen shortly. He's a certified ASUS dealer in Lebanon, and legally registered as a reseller in Lebanon. He is NOT a "stranger".

ROG stand for Republic Of Gamers; you'll find a facebook page of it. The creator of this page and also founder of ROG computer shop is the ASUS dealer in lebanon.
@yasamoka Believe me no offence for Tarek , but 1st time costumers will doubt .Anyway since he is an official dealer then there is no worries.By the way the technomania offer do you think its for christmas only ? If thats the case then i must hurry up
Guys i called technomania but i got confused when they asked to press 1 for مبيعات , and 2 for صالة العرض , and 3 for محاسبة. If i want to ask about the offer what should i press
i guess 2

I asked them , the price execludes VAT and becomes 770$ and its not a christmas offer
