Achmed wroteSo far the acer travlemate is the only one with a decent graphic card that runs big games on average settings for a low price according to the graphic card chart .Does a 1 gb graphic card differ from 2gb or 512mb ones.
Memory doesn't matter, memory is used to render large images like running a 1080p picture on a 40" TV.
You should look for the graphics card number not the memory for example a 430M can't run all games at decent FPS.
Look for nothing less then 450M/550M because if you go lower than those you won't be able to game.
Please post the laptop you are going to buy BEFORE buying it so that we can discuss if you can get a better one.
Im definetly not going to buy one before consulting lebgeeks or googling it :p I was checking the 540m of the acer travlemate and it was able to play skyrim on low settings , how bad is low settings ( ugly textures ...)?
i am playing Skyrim on high with my travelmate, with a little heating
Then i need at least 550,560 , 460 , 580...?The question is which laptop brand has one of them for my budget?

You won't find a decent laptop with that budget.
Try looking for refurbished products because they will be 30% cheaper.
Refurbished products are products that failed during testing after manufacturing and are sent back for revision.
But they are like buying a normal laptop , but note that warranty will be 3 months on some models
Your pretty much crushing my hopes.I dont need something that runs battlefield in high settings , at least make it run even in low settings. And what will happen if a refurbished laptop is damaged with the warranty expired?!
Laptop gaming systems are more expensive than desktop gaming systems, and for 850$ you can barely build a decent desktop gamer.
There is an HP I found for 677$+VAT (Brand new) But as I said before you should stay away from HP.
Ok no HP . Im going to ask Asus dealer for how much a asus gaming laptop cost by the way did major shops start christmas sales or i should wait a couple of weeks before buying?

There is 10 days for Christmas I'm sure all places have the offers up already, but non of the offers include any gaming laptops so I suggest you talk to Tarek (The Asus dealer)
I talked to him , he doesnt seem to accept the fact that there is a laptop with 540m for 650$$ .It seems the acer travlemate is the best choice?
I found an offer on back of a magazine of technomania . Acer aspire 5750G with intel core i5,2.4ghz sandy bridge,gt 540m ,1 gb dedicated vga , 4gb ddr3 , 500gb hdd all for 699$$ with 3 years warranty .So is it a good deal?

Seems fair , but make sure it's brand new and not referbished.
Yeah i will make sure. I will ask one last question in this thread , the 2.4ghz in this laptop can be increased to 2.9ghz . Will increasing processor provide better gaming ?

Windows 7 Home Basic sucks , you can find a laptop without any Windows and you can install it yourself , this will save you about 100$ also the Office is a waste of cash aswell , and make sure it's VAT included , If it says TTC than it's included
never used win 7, care to elaborate why the home basic version sucks? and doesnt a pirated version prevent me from properly upgrading the os?
