I would have bought the game if i had a descent internet connection, but in a third world country lie Lebanon, i am not paying 80$ for a game i m only gonna play the campaign on and then throw away due to horrible internet. So exuse me if i choose not to pay full price for something i will not fully enjoy.ILIA_93 wroteWhat happened to activision and infinity ward employers, need to get paid for their hard work, they're just trying to protected their game from being pirated widely, like the coolness of BF3 and no lan availability make you forced to buy it.AxisFlame wroteI got the game (not original) and i was sooo exited to learn that it supports LAN so i can play with my bro, and suddenly i find out you have to be connected to steam while playing to play LAN!!! when the h**l did LAN turn to online??? why would i even use LAN if i had a good internet connection?? what happened to just playing with friends just for fun with no lag and just fun?? What do you guys think??
This is the good people view point, but for me, Skid-Row and Razor are my models in life :P .

If you mean the picture is 'snowy':Leonedes wroteI Bought MW3 from Virgin, it has 2 CDs not three ... Oh and by the way, I'm running the
graphics on Extra smoothly and I'm finding the graphics abit dull :/
1-Turn off your tv and unplug its cable from the electrical socket then get it back on again.
2-Switch to AV (Video) mode then back to HDMI mode.
Hope that helps....

Doesn't make any sense...If you don't seem to reach a good result with your method then for Thomson: Connect your PS3 to the router through Cable connection, as i recall that PS3 MAC address became visible on DMZ page using cable.. so put it on DMZ. I think you will reach moderate but if not then: forward ports additionally to reach OPEN nat type , however, you may lose the OPEN nat type back to Moderate when the electricty goes off.
If someone of your family lives in the gulf, i can refer you to a very good ADSL+Wireless Router Model to get. Just pvt me.
i have a thompson modem (IDM) and a linksys router.
Every night , just as i'm about to play i plug my ps3 directly to my thompson, cancelling the wireless router.
No need for port forwarding...
I find games just above 150ms, but nat still strict.
Worked for black ops and MW2.

Thomson routers are just annoying. It happens that your PS3 IP sometimes mayn't be visibile on DMZ/Public Ip Address page for that reason, and why it doesn't make any sense!Chup wroteDoesn't make any sense...If you don't seem to reach a good result with your method then for Thomson: Connect your PS3 to the router through Cable connection, as i recall that PS3 MAC address became visible on DMZ page using cable.. so put it on DMZ. Have you tried the DMZ/Public IP Address Page?
Again:
A)Get your PS3 Mac Address from PS3 connection settings list.
B)Connect your PS3 to Thomson router through direct cable and configure your PS3 connection as wired.
**Make sure in Thomson UPNP/Universal Plug and Play is Enabled/Checked
C)Refer to DMZ/Public IP Addresspage that your PS3 MAC Address should become visible there and set it accordingly.
**If you can't see your PS3 IP on that page then i suggest doing a router back up settings then restore default settings then restore backup settings.
.....
will try this tonight =)

DMZing the PS3 is a successful way to achieve open NAT Chup; that being said it's very one off with these Thompsons, and as Dirol has explained as well - im waiting for it to die so i can have an excuse to buy a new/better one.
Then again meh PS3 - MW3 PC is where it's at; so much better. Better lag in specific.

If you are subscribed to Sodetel/IDM, as far as i tried another router on those ISPs ONLY and connected successfully , then you can get one ASAP.

Yes. Many Xbox and PS3 users on callofduty MW3 forums have and commented in threads complaining about a major MW3 lag issue with the game itself. Maybe the coming patches will solve it, hopefully.The-MMMs wroteDMZing the PS3 is a successful way to achieve open NAT Chup; that being said it's very one off with these Thompsons, and as Dirol has explained as well - im waiting for it to die so i can have an excuse to buy a new/better one.

doesn't work, i connected my modem to my ps3 via ethernet cable, assigned a static IP, and logged in to my modem's configuration.Have you tried the DMZ/Public IP Address Page?

On the home network devices tab, i could see that my modem is connected to an unknown device ( PS3 ) went on to the public IP page, i could only see one device to assign a public IP to : the Dir-300 ( which is my wireless router ), that i had disconnected.
unplugged my PS3, connected my laptop via ethernet cable, backed up configuration settings and reset it to factory.
turned off router, and restored configuration, nothing but Dir-300 in the DMZ
and having done that on the ps, going to the DMZ, no devices were found
Chup no need for the MAC address to DMZ, just assign a static IP to your PS3 when you select wired connection and then add that IP to DMZ page of the router.
yea...i Knowchosen2k wroteChup no need for the MAC address to DMZ, just assign a static IP to your PS3 when you select wired connection and then add that IP to DMZ page of the router.
Problem is i can't find THAT ip on the DMZ page.
I can only find one IP which is the wireless router's ip that i have already disconnected in order to have a wired connection.
So i guess the static ip i shall give it is that wireless router's ip.
Problem is, i have to release that public ip everytime i finish playing and want to reconnect the wireless router...
