Ew...the 'Thomson' router man. You should try to make the PS3 MAC or IP visible there by any means :p.Chup wroteyea...i Knowchosen2k wroteChup no need for the MAC address to DMZ, just assign a static IP to your PS3 when you select wired connection and then add that IP to DMZ page of the router.
Problem is i can't find THAT ip on the DMZ page.
I can only find one IP which is the wireless router's ip that i have already disconnected in order to have a wired connection.
So i guess the static ip i shall give it is that wireless router's ip.
Problem is, i have to release that public ip everytime i finish playing and want to reconnect the wireless router...
mmm...Try this:
:::You seem to have 2 routers:
Do NOT set the wireless router IP on thomson in Public IP Address/DMZ as you may expose other machines connected through wireless to internet attacks.
Seemingly you have 1 Ethernet Port on Thomson too: what you will have to do is:
Configuring your PS3 Settings to connect wirelessly as Manual settings:
1)IP address: Assign any of your choice that is far away of being currently given to other connected devices to avoid conflicts, like: 192.168.1.10, as this will become Static in Thomson.
2)Subnet mask is also indicated in your router.[Usually it is: 255.255.255.0]
3)Get Router's IP which is Thomson IP/Domain of logging in. [Default is: 192.168.1.254 ]
4)The DNS Servers IPs Primary and Secondary settings from Thomson connection info or whatever it's refered to as.... (If Secondary DNS is NOT available then make it like Primary DNS).
Now your PS3 Static IP should appear in your thomson's DMZ/Public IP Address, and again if NOT then Backup Settings and do a Hard Reset then restore the router's settings. Hope that helps.
