CoD Modern Warfare 3 – Game Thread
try to do only the first two steps and in the 2nd step assign ur PC instead of PS3.The-MMMs wroteHow can i do the above for PC ?
As in where on the PC do i do step 3 of the first set of steps.
Gd lk :D
This was my first experience with Call of Duty online (PC) and all I can say is that its AMAZING ! :D Who else is playing it on PC ?
just played the Campaign... it's pretty awesome... however they could have made it better. Graphics and game-play wise, very similar to MW2(with new guns/attachments/perks/machines added). I love the Spec-ops's survival mode(perks/killstreaks/new NPCs). As for Multiplayer, can't say yet... but maybe one day I'll buy it originally :P

MM. I don't know if you meant mistaken for the price of 'Shadi-Najjar' COD WM3 PS3 game. Seemingly for PS3 COD MW3 is priced particurarily only for this game, the price as you mentioned. I used to get my NEW PS3 games from him the same prices as of 'Nino'. :SThe-MMMs wroteYou are mistakenDirol wrotemm. Maybe the PC version what you were asking/talking about? because 'Shadi' Najjar stores prices are close to 'Nino' for PS3 games, not sure though for PC.The-MMMs wroteUpdate:
Phoned "shadi" of Najjar stores - he has it and is selling for 80$ - sent me a message, its now 75$ ( im not sure if this applies to everyone or just people who called and asked and did not like the price - i.e. me)
Shadi/Najjar is near what used to be once called Jisr Barbir
He is on Elmazad and he is a childhood friend of my family.

believe me, if you used to like Counter Strike networking games on PC in network cafes particurarily or generally, you'll do as well in here. (Tried on my friend's PS3 and online multiplayer is amazing).Raficoo wrotejust played the Campaign... it's pretty awesome... however they could have made it better. but make sure you have a very good (low) ping (for PS3, the game requires ping approximately below 200 ms testing it to www.google.com and most probably the same case for PC) and connection for that if you intend to buy the original version.
Good Luck.

It works on my friend's US Account and sometimes Lebanese players get in the session :p.Chup wroteTried it yesterday night on my uk account, doesn't workCan anyone try this for me ? if you happen to be using or have a UK or anyway EU based PSN account can you try the game using that ? You should probably be able to find games at the 120 or 140ms mark - please try it
I'm playing with my lebanese one.
It's not using location for matchmaking , it's using the same one as MW2, only much much faster
it goes like searching for games <50 , <75 , <100, <125 , <150 , and here is where i usually find a game
And why didn't you get it yet -.- ?

scc have the game?

For PS3: refer to http://portforward.com/ and make sure you select your router's model, PS3 console ,and COD MW3. (You can skip any ads you see during the steps)jad594 wroteHey guys, if im using a Thomson V8 modem from Terranet and my NAT type is Strict can anyone show me a way of making my NAT open?
Please dont get too scientific with me :(
Just easy brief steps would be nice since im noot too much of a computer tech :/
Its really annoying after 1AM all of a sudden I cant find games or sign into PSN even ... :(
Cheers!
As for: why you can't join after 1AM to PSN, if you mean Call of duty MW3 particurarily then it is either:
A-Your ping goes above 2xx ms and COD MW3 does NOT work in this case.
B-If you're getting a message such as 'EA servers are not available at this time' then you'd better try reconnecting/restarting your router. (The EA Servers may be really down).
C-As PSN availability generally could be itself or your internet connection.
--
3 Nat Types:
a-Nat Type 3= Strict = Very bad= Will cause some interruptions and lags during online play.
b-Nat Type 2= Moderate= Good: Good for playing online alone but may/maynot cause lag for the other party joined if he has a higher nat type.
c-Nat Type 1=Open= Best: Exemption: sometimes joining a party member of Moderate nat type may/maynot cause YOU to lag)
Additional Detailed Explanation to open ports if you can't follow up with the previous website provided:
---For PS3 Only:
1-Login to your router's settings page through IP/Domain: 192.xxx.x.x
2-Put your PS3 IP address ,assigned by your router, as Static/Reserved OR when you configure your PS3 connection through the PS3..through the steps select: SET DHCP Client-->Enable: and set 'name to whatever you want' as this DHCP name will compensate to your fixed ip now OR you may do as well through PS3 MAC address in your router's local network page and will compensate to your fixed ip too.
3-Start forwarding PS3 Cod MW3 ports ,for the IP you set as Static/Reserved, as follows:
ports: 3075, 3478, 3479 (UDP).
ports: 80, 443, 3074, 5223 (TCP).
•For voice / video chat and online game play UDP: 3658
4-Enable 'UPNP' or 'Universal Plug and Play' if disabled.
5-If step '3' fails to move at least to 'NAT type: Moderate' then try the following step '6'
6-Put the Static/Reserved IP on 'DMZ/Demilitarized Zone' or assign as 'Public IP address'. Try this step with step '3' once... and once again without it then compare the best outputs for Nat Type.
***(Note that if you are on a bridge connection or connected by 2 routers then connect your PS3 with manual ip addresses setting ,to bypass the first router's firewall, as it will also act as 'Static/Reserved' ip in this case: then recheck 'Nat Type' Status directly once without the steps and once again but skip '2')

(incase 'add' button is Disabled, maybe you need to turn off the Router's Dynamic DHCP Server, not sure :P though, which if disabled each connected device will NOT have the same IP everytime connected to the router)
3-Start forwarding PC Cod MW3 ports ,for the IP you set as Static/Reserved, as follows:
Ports: 3074 (UDP and TCP).
Ports (Steam) UDP: 27000-27015, 27015-27030
Ports (Steam) TCP: 27014-27050
4-Enable 'UPNP' or 'Universal Plug and Play' if disabled.
**For Windows only (as i don't know whether it is safe to do on Macintosh or other Operating Systems)--->Do NOT set PC's IP on 'DMZ/Demilitarized Zone' or assign 'Public IP Address' as it is NOT recommended on PC and will expose your machine to internet attacks, unlike PS3.....

You can do that through TCP/IP settings of your connection)***

Hey Guys, i need your opinions about BattleField 3 and COD MW3. Which one is better for me to get on PS3?
I know that in COD,you can do both Missions and challenges (like in mw2) but, what about battlefield 3? is it also missions and challenges? or you just play like against Bots in rounds. like in the previous battlefield games.
I think battlefield would be cooler because of all the vehicles, choppers, planes in it !!
So anyway.. tell me your opinion guys who played any of these new amazing games

You must telnet to your modems using putty, and then forward the ports, im just waiting for friday evening to go home and try it
ANYWAY, as a hot fix try http://www.callofduty.com/message/105949180#105949180
A few posts/replies down a guy with a bunch of image links shows you how to fix the NAT issue ... note you must do that everytime your restart your PC but meh it sure beats "telnetting" - also this really works ! I immediately shared it with my cousin and he gave it a try, he achieved OPEN nat upon applying the fix and restarting steam ... and was able to manage a party with a lobby of 2 and played games and everything normally.
On friday i have the following in mind:
Reset modem ... Set PS3 to DMZ and fix all issues with it, then allow connection to PC, assign a static IP to PC, and forward ports via telnetting - this is the only combo i can think of, and i don't feel like spending some 80$ on a respectable modem router to be honest / i also highly assume that UPNP and manual port forwading is causing conflicting, which explains for SOME MODEM BRANDS that if you forward the ports manually, and then disable UPNP it fixes the issue.
Again: This whole NAT, UDP, TCP and all that is SOOOO confusing it isn't even funny
Oh and pffffffffffffft Thompson modems .

Yes. I know. I was targeting many different routers. I could barely reach OPEN Nat Type on my old Thomson ADSL+Wireless Router , which i have already replaced a few months ago, because everytime the electricity goes off, it goes back to moderate, and your idea seems good so good luck with it.The-MMMs wroteafter i moved out of my home to my dorm and upon furthur googling, it turns out that these shitty thompson TG585v7 modems WILL NOT FORWARD PORTS VIA WEB USER INTERFACE
If you don't seem to reach a good result with your method then for Thomson: Connect your PS3 to the router through Cable connection, as i recall that PS3 MAC address became visible on DMZ/Public IP Address page using cable.. so put it on DMZ. I think you will reach moderate but if not then: forward ports additionally to reach OPEN nat type , however, you may lose the OPEN nat type back to Moderate when the electricty goes off.
If someone of your family lives in the gulf, i can refer you to a very good ADSL+Wireless Router Model to get. Just pvt me.

A possible reason is that your ping goes above 2XX ms (This is for PS3 and i think same for XBOX)ANormalUsername wrotehi guys i just bought the cyberia ifly zyxel max-206m2 and my nat is staying strict on my xbox 360 i tried everything. Do the following to make sure:
on your computer: go to start-->run-->type: 'cmd' OR All Programs-->Accessories-->Command Prompt
Type: Ping www.google.com ,as google is a US server that i used to test on on COD Black Ops.
Check each 'Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx 'value' in 'ms'. If it is like: 2xx ms or above then your game won't go online.
COd MW3 works when your ping is approximately below 200 ms Only.
Try reconnecting your router and recheck your ping.
If this is NOT the case then something else might be wrong.
Good Luck.

I got the game (not original) and i was sooo exited to learn that it supports LAN so i can play with my bro, and suddenly i find out you have to be connected to steam while playing to play LAN!!! when the h**l did LAN turn to online??? why would i even use LAN if i had a good internet connection?? what happened to just playing with friends just for fun with no lag and just fun?? What do you guys think??
What happened to activision and infinity ward employers, need to get paid for their hard work, they're just trying to protected their game from being pirated widely, like the coolness of BF3 and no lan availability make you forced to buy it.AxisFlame wroteI got the game (not original) and i was sooo exited to learn that it supports LAN so i can play with my bro, and suddenly i find out you have to be connected to steam while playing to play LAN!!! when the h**l did LAN turn to online??? why would i even use LAN if i had a good internet connection?? what happened to just playing with friends just for fun with no lag and just fun??
