Here's the thing. I think ISPs started pushing their faster connections even before Ogero started their push. It is purely for marketing and customer acquisition reasons. They have been using satellites to supplement their connections, which explains the slower pings.

I live in Dohat-Aramoun! Khaldeh CO (Ogero ISP) but I currently in KSA, but the speed online was upgraded to 1Mbps on the system, i will ask a relative that is using Ogero as an ISP and check the speed.
PS my Grandma has internet from Sodetel Mazraa Central and it is slower than ever! :P

The stability of the connection is still horrible.
I mean yes it's nice to be able to stream videos from home as if im in AUB from 2 to 6pm, but after 6pm its all gradually downhill.
Speeds go from 200KB\s at 6pm to 40KB\s at 9pm
Then at 2am speeds go from 50-60KB\s gradually up to 200KB\s at 4am
Basically from 9pm to 2am my speeds are lower than ever now, not even reaching 64KB\s...
This isn't right. I know it says "up to" 2mbps, but I expected speeds not to go below 1mbps...My bad I guess.
Never mind though... I fixed the problem by lowering my expectations down to the appropriate level...

I don't get it ... it simply makes no sense at all .... why ? why ? would someone download grey's anatomy ?

*Dope14* care to share us about it?
joey
well i live in achrafieh, and my central is in nahr beirut.
So far no change except on ogero's website where it was download 1024/256
but nothing changed in my connection speed, i check it every day in the morning thinking it would change but i hasn't so far.
I called ogero to ask if they have a deadline or know anything about when it might change, they have no idea when and nobody even mentioned any deadlines.
so i'm guessing, i'll give it till the end of the month, if not change was made i'm gonna stop and move to IDM or Terranet directly, cuz it's not worth the mental anguish!! :D

Thank you for the reply, but their website is under construction.

thx

@joey: Moving to another ISP means nothing, the issue is that all ISP traffics should pass by Ogero exchange, if Ogero doesn't upgrade the equipments at its side, you cannot benefits the high speed internet, even if you move to another ISP.
