i just wanted to make sure you dont have a faulty modem which causes link errors, it seems it is good but the maximum bandwidth is very low for such line stats it should be at least 15mbps(maybe its just a problem with thomson) but anyway you should contact ogero and tell them about your problem since the problem is on their sidegirly82 wrotehere they are , thank you very much-DNA- wroteAs DG already said your line should be error free with these stats so clearly it is an isp probem you can do nothing about it, you can try and call ogero but i doubt they will help you with that. and yes bad and long phone line will cause a "request time out" and packet loss because of high error rate
Edit: Please repost all the stats you see in the router not only snr and attenuation.

Is anyone still facing extremely low speeds at night ?
Like I said, I am on a 512kbps connection with Ogero and I tried several servers on speedtest yesterday between 7:00pm and 10:00pm and the highest download rate I got was 150kbps !
I used to get a constant 430kbps before the beginning of February 2012.

It could be a pc related problem; your best bet is to try using a laptop and see if the behavior is identical.girly82 wroteI already contacted them , they told me maybe ykoun daghet-DNA- wrotei just wanted to make sure you dont have a faulty modem which causes link errors, it seems it is good but the maximum bandwidth is very low for such line stats it should be at least 15mbps(maybe its just a problem with thomson) but anyway you should contact ogero and tell them about your problem since the problem is on their sidegirly82 wrote here they are , thank you very much

Kareem, few days ago at my area, OGERO is terrible and down for sometimes, and Terranet (my case) is very good and stable, so OGERO is not the best all time, they have the backbone, but a very bad management.Kareem wrotelol ? it's like saying this store is selling the same product for less than the distributor price.thechosenjester wrotedude ogero sucks go with terranet its way better
thank you so much Kareen .
DG , I think speedtest is not reliable , and doesn't show the real speed . My plan is 1 Mg , and the speedtest shows 512k or 400k at night , but when i download a large file , the download rate open from 100 to 115 /s .... so i am always have 1 mg speed and stable

I am almost suprised that people are having bad times with Ogero, I have not faced any issue with my connection since upgrading to 4Mbps, lost sync once maybe and a slowdown between 1:30AM and 1:50AM on the 2nd of March, since then, everything is perfect, download rate stable and speedtest reports 3.62Mbps anytime I run it, and I mean anytime.amkahal wroteKareem, few days ago at my area, OGERO is terrible and down for sometimes, and Terranet (my case) is very good and stable, so OGERO is not the best all time, they have the backbone, but a very bad management.Kareem wrotelol ? it's like saying this store is selling the same product for less than the distributor price.thechosenjester wrotedude ogero sucks go with terranet its way better
Could be it's temporary and they are upgarding something somewhere, maybe not. From what I know, Ogero has excellent monitoring HW/SW for the service.
I am on the 4 Meg plan but they told me that my line can't handle more than 1 Meg. On the modem's page, the bandwidth is download is 1020 while the maximal bandwidth for download is 1400. Does this mean that my line can handle 1400 but IDM is giving me only 1000?
Usually syncing at the maximum speed the line can handle will cause instability and frequent disconnections.kfc wroteI am on the 4 Meg plan but they told me that my line can't handle more than 1 Meg. They were giving me 1200 for the first 2 weeks then they reduced it to 1000. :@Kareem wroteUsually syncing at the maximum speed the line can handle will cause instability and frequent disconnections.kfc wroteI am on the 4 Meg plan but they told me that my line can't handle more than 1 Meg. Now that's just got out of the ordinary, facebook is not opening! It takes 15 min to open! And the download speed is 30kb/s! What's wrong with this internet?!

Same... ever since I made my previous post... I always get extremely slow download speeds (especially at night). I guess they are trying to make some money back before upgrading the links again. That's how it has always been and that's how it will always be... wait till customers are literally pissed off to consider an upgrade.
Has the internet speed been reduced to a crawl ? I cannot download more than 2 MB (at a speed of 5kbits/sec) without getting an interruption.
Websites literally take 10 minutes to open ... that is if they open at all !!

I'm using sodetel and it's pretty bad atm. They told me it's because the weather is raging :PDG wroteHas the internet speed been reduced to a crawl ? I cannot download more than 2 MB (at a speed of 5kbits/sec) without getting an interruption.

But the guy that said it was stuttering....maybe he does since birth
I get an extrememly slow internet, usually I restart my router and it solves the problem but now I'm stuck with bad internet even after a restart...the sheep at the customer service only whisper meuuhhh
i guess it's just cute
Good to see there are people like you who can read between the lines and understand they are being fed lies (not to use another less appropriate term). I am with Ogero and it's getting worse every week.
Somehow, I don't think this has anything to do with the weather.... a few months ago I used to get stable speeds day and night... until things started getting worse and now I cannot even browse a simple website (with no images) such as this one. It took 2 minutes for this page to open !

@dg sometimes when this happens with ogero I call them and what they do is usually tell me to turn off the router.and at the same time they do some sort of reset.(never understood what they reset exactly) It Did work for me in a case just like the one you described above.

So what's happening with streaming video downloads and other downloading servers like Fireget?
I can't get better than 30kbs with a 2mb ADSL connection!
Tried about 10 different streaming websites...
Is it because they opened all the Ogero centrals to new plans and the whole country is overloaded?
Damn politicians, they should learn that we can't just give orders to higher speeds without a prepared infrastructure before
