Did you go to the central and apply for an upgraded speed?
Guys, the following is my best internet story in lebanon.
4 days ago, i sent the Minister Sehnaoui a tweet asking him to help me get the upgrade to 1 Mbps, after few replies, and today i got the upgrade, i'm very happy especially because the Minister is responding fast, hope that happens with you too :)

Please tell me I am not the only Ogero subscriber suffering from low speeds, especially at peak time.
Pages like facebook literally take ages (30 secs or more) to open. Hasn't the promised additional bandwidth been released yet ?

Only you. Contact the minister and tell him about the problems you've been facing. Several people have done that and in many cases he actually made an effort to resolve their issues.
Good and stable from Terranet.

Alfa WAP settings changed?
I can't verify now because I am waiting for my One X and sold my sensation already, but I received wap settings from Alfa yesterday on my very old samsung black and white phone, perhaps they changed them?

I have internet from idm my dsl plan in 1mbps but i am actually receiving just 128 kbps , idm told me that's because of the distance from the central but my neighbours who also have internet from idm are having 1 mbps speed and my dsl attenuation is 67 db down and 40.7 db up which i think is enough to receive 1mbps speed.
so does anyone knows what might be the problem?
Your attenuation is extremely high (I assume 67 dB is the down attenuation).
Can you check the "S/N Margin" and "Maximum Bandwidth" values as well ?

Compare all the numbers to your neighbor's values.
this are the information from my router:

Anyone with IDM experiencing problems opening some websites and getting error messages such as:
"This webpage is not available
Google Chrome could not load the webpage because the website took too long to respond. The website may be down, or you may be experiencing issues with your Internet connection.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this webpage later.
Check your Internet connection. Restart any router, modem, or other network devices you may be using.
Add Google Chrome as a permitted program in your firewall's or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted program, try deleting it from the list of permitted programs and adding it again.
If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, adjust your proxy settings: Go to the wrench menu > Settings > Under the Hood > Change proxy settings... > LAN Settings and deselect the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" checkbox."
What can I do to solve the problem?
Guys, I'm with Ogero and my connection is disconnecting after midnight while I'm downloading torrents. I've got Linksys WAG200G modem, and my computer is wired to it. Any clue of what should I do?
P.S. I'm can't access my modem using 192.168.1.1 and user/user combination.
Hello guys,

I'm currently subscribed with 1mb 12gb Wise dsl plan.
and I'm planning to change to Sodetel 4mb 15gb.

So any thoughts?

I will be gaming a lot since next month, my parents do a lot of video calls (skype). So I need a good latency.

Also about the free night traffic, I can't LIVE without it. With wise I'm very happy with this, but what about sodetel? will they black list me? I download a lot of movies in hd.

please suggest..
Where do you live ?
then your best bet is Ogero.
There are a couple of members here who live there with ogero subscriptions.
Speed isn't good but at least latency is.

thank you Chup for your time.

But no no no no

Ogero?! are you kidding me?
I tried them before, and many friends are subscribed with them and it's hell

if there is a problem, and you call them for tech support they will not answer, if you repeat the call for many times, they will open and shutt it. or they open and leave it open and no one answer.

Also, 3 homes, get 10~20kb from ogero on the 1mb plan.

HELL NO

I'm very satisfied with Wise and I recommend it for every one in Tripoli. But I want to upgrade,Sodetel's plan gives me speed upgrade and little quota, and thats exactly what I want.

What I was asking, again, are:
1- How is the ping?
2- The speed, is it less than 100kb? is it constant or it may drop sometimes?
3-Free night traffic, is it true? what about the FUP? will they black list me?

thank
