If they are not ready to launch a new speed on actual cabling in modern Beirut why they are doing it?
And the most funny part is the official excuse they gave that buildings have poor cables, my building was built in the 2000s and has modern standards cables, we are only at 600m from the central, so the problem is with Ogero installation not us.
my max rate is even worse than last week ( which was worse than the week before)
and it will get worse next week when more users get open speeds :)

I used to reach 1.9mb/s download now it's max 1.7mb/s, I hope it won't get lower than that

@ikreidieh Mr Imad I was wondering is therr a schedule for active cabinets? Have you begun installing them or will begin in the near future?

Imad Kreidieh
@ikreidieh
It will be on the agenda of the council of ministers next week. Let's hope se get their approval

mine re-increased and stabilized at around 17.5 mbps

Same here, I was getting 1,762 kB/s and now the max I'm getting is 1,673 kB/s.
i went to ogero Hazmieh and asked to move from the 2m, unlimited to open speed 200gig. I paid 2000LBP and by the 1st of August they will switch.. let's wait and see..
@Mylo89 your connection parameters are acceptable. Not the best, but you shouldn't get any disconnections.
Your current rate is probably the max you can get with these SNR values.
The number of errors, mostly FEC, is a bit on the high end, but nothing to really about. Still, I would keep your DSL modulation as Interleaved.
Guys do you think the number of errors on my line is normal ?

Btw i changed the cable from ogero's box to my house. The SN margin and line attenuation improved a bit, but not the errors( actually increased maybe with the speed upgrades)

I have more upload errors than you but so far there is no impact whatsoever on the quality of service. But my speed is still fixed at 4 mbps. I am afraid things will change when i switch to an open speed plan

I am with cyberia, the last time I called they wanted me to limit my speed to 8mb/s instead of 16 just to gain 1 point of SNR margin, and as usual they accused the filter which was 100% perfect before the OS.
Can I call the Ogero central directly and ask them why it's so unstable?

There is no way limiting the speed by half will increase the SNR margin by 1 only, it will increase it substantially. I think limiting it to 14 or 12 Max will fix your problems.
I am pretty sure it's ogero's fault, not my modem, I don't see why I should limit my adsl speed if they can't install good cables in my street or if they have a problem in their central.
Like I said SNR margin only went to 11 even at 8mb/s instead of 16

Who is your DSP ogero? Or cyberia?

Yes contact ogero on 1515 or tweet imad kreidieh or a guy called Musta or email thepeople@ogero.gov.lb
Guys if anyone have same problem please do tell, before they open the speed i had 14mb-15mb max rate now i have 8-11mb max rate , note i am with ogero 2mb unlimited
Ahmad Toutounji wroteGuys if anyone have same problem please do tell, before they open the speed i had 14mb-15mb max rate now i have 8-11mb max rate , note i am with ogero 2mb unlimited
I am on 2 Mbps unlimited as well. 2-3 weeks ago, my max rate was slightly above 24 Mbps. Now it is around 20-21 Mbps.
EDIT: Now that I think about it, my current max rate could have been even less had I not rewired my cables from the connectivity box to my house last week. Since upon rewiring, my line attenuation decreased from 17.5 to 16.5 on ADSL2+ (no noticeable change in SNR Margin though)
Before open speed I had 4096kbps now I have 3700kbps lol. But with snr tweaking I get to a pretty stable 7000kbps.
