sorry to break the news dude max speed you can get 4.5 Mb/s you are at 3.9 km away from the CO
I'm indeed far from the CO but if my line can handle 4.5Mb/s why am I still getting 1Mbps after the 2Mbps update?
Let me tell you that my friend thatis a scam used by ogero alloe me to elaborate : after the previous upgrade ogero applied it for most of it's clients but left some behind. You had to go to the pos and ask them to apply the upgrade, they will ask you for some papers not sure what exactly but im sure about the id of the line's owner and you will get your 2 mb speed. If you call them they will say line cannot handle more.
I renew my 4mb 50gb plan 5 days ago
idm support told me They will repease new plans with open speed by 1st july
And my plan will be updated automatically
Its 2 july my speed and my plan still same

I was convinced that my line only handles 1Mbps but now I was doing some google search and found this site https://www.speedguide.net/faq/what-is-considered-good-dsl-line-attenuation-371
and it said that : 3.5km = 48.3dB = 6Mbit
4.0km = 56dB = 4Mbit

I changed my thomson router yesterday to TP-link ADSL2+modem solution and it reads :

* Line Attenuation: 50.0 31.5 db(downstream/upstream)
*Data Rate: 1024 256 kbps(downstream/upstream)
*Max Rate: 4624 832 kbps(downstream/upstream)

SO according to the site I should be getting something between 4Mbit and 6Mbit as my 50.0 downstream attenuation falls between these two values (48.3db and 56db) and my router confirms that with the 4624Kbps Max rate downstream, Now I'm really confused, does my line really only handle 1Mbps or I'm missing something here :/
Here's an interesting question. How come I get up to 11Mb/s when my Line Attenuation is (Down/Up): 41.4 / 27.0 db (Max 15Mbit downstream) while jazzzar's max speed is 4Mbit eventhough he has a similar Line Attenuation?

Dude I won't be sad if I can get 4Mbps, the thing is, I'm on the 2Mbps plan and still getting 1Mbps, is it for real that I can only get 1 Mbps?
BTW 41.4 is way better than 50, every 3db speed halves (saw that somewhere)

as i told you even though you pay for the 2mb line the CO did not make the upgrade you need to pay them a visit or just wait for the next Open speed plans.
So the people who were able to successfully call 1515 - 0 did you get the plan change now or you will need to wait until the 1st of August?
They have to wait till 1st of August
PS. I am trying to call since 10am but all i get is the piano music
Thanks for your answer, I thought they got the new packages. When I call, I'm getting all our lines are busy message.

I am in the same boat---paying for a 2mb plan but only getting one and neither getting any answers on how much my line can handle next month or if they can upgrade me to the plan I am paying for. I am going down to the CO on Wednesday and hopefully find someone who can get the answers I am looking for.
hello guys, so they finished my feasibility study regarding vdsl, and the max i will get is between 20-25 mb download and 3mb upload. Currently there is only 1 plan for vdsl (100gb - 100,000 L.L), I will be applying for it tomorrow at mazraa central.
