i dunno man, i gave up trying to convince them
Has anyone been able to find out what the upload speeds are going to be?
Would one of you kind people please post the ogero whatsapp number, Thanks
Almighty wrotehello guys, so they finished my feasibility study regarding vdsl, and the max i will get is between 20-25 mb download and 3mb upload. Currently there is only 1 plan for vdsl (100gb - 100,000 L.L), I will be applying for it tomorrow at mazraa central.
Could you please inform us about who you contacted to get this feasibility study done ?
Okay guys my router is reading a ma rate of 15 mbps, I tried calculating my max rate and it showed about 22mbps, here are my line stats, is it because of bad wiring?

Maybe omar because you have 14.1 noise margin it should be 6+, and whenever you get higher speed u will get lower margin, it could be electric interference on the wires or something try to check the stats when there is no power, before the "echtirak l moteur" turns on.

You mean hdsl right ? because the vdsl packages are the same as adsl

i mean vdsl, that what the employees at ogero are convinced of, my opinion is same as yours. if u have any real hard proof of such thing please let me know.
To whom it may concern, you can get up to 3Mbps upload at the expense of some download speed if you sync on ADSL2+ Annex M.

ahb21 wroteHere's an interesting question. How come I get up to 11Mb/s when my Line Attenuation is (Down/Up): 41.4 / 27.0 db (Max 15Mbit downstream) while jazzzar's max speed is 4Mbit eventhough he has a similar Line Attenuation?
Dude I won't be sad if I can get 4Mbps, the thing is, I'm on the 2Mbps plan and still getting 1Mbps, is it for real that I can only get 1 Mbps?
BTW 41.4 is way better than 50, every 3db speed halves (saw that somewhere)
I am in the same boat---paying for a 2mb plan but only getting one and neither getting any answers on how much my line can handle next month or if they can upgrade me to the plan I am paying for. I am going down to the CO on Wednesday and hopefully find someone who can get the answers I am looking for.
ok plz keep me updated!

Mr. Imad Kreidieh said on his twitter that it's completely wrong, and that VDSL applies to all plans, but you need to be <1000km from the CO for it to work.
Hello everyone,

I am looking for a decent internet connection to my home (like 4MB speed) in achrafieh. I dont have a 01 line. so I cant get ogero. What would you suggest?

Thank you
You can get illegal internet or connect's plan 5mb 70gb for 105$ with free night quota, or 4g but it's expensive, anyway wireless internet and 4g prices will be reduced just give it 1-2months

jazzzar wrote I'm indeed far from the CO but if my line can handle 4.5Mb/s why am I still getting 1Mbps after the 2Mbps update?
Let me tell you that my friend thatis a scam used by ogero alloe me to elaborate : after the previous upgrade ogero applied it for most of it's clients but left some behind. You had to go to the pos and ask them to apply the upgrade, they will ask you for some papers not sure what exactly but im sure about the id of the line's owner and you will get your 2 mb speed. If you call them they will say line cannot handle more.
I was convinced that my line only handles 1Mbps but now I was doing some google search and found this site https://www.speedguide.net/faq/what-is-considered-good-dsl-line-attenuation-371
and it said that : 3.5km = 48.3dB = 6Mbit
4.0km = 56dB = 4Mbit

I changed my thomson router yesterday to TP-link ADSL2+modem solution and it reads :

* Line Attenuation: 50.0 31.5 db(downstream/upstream)
*Data Rate: 1024 256 kbps(downstream/upstream)
*Max Rate: 4624 832 kbps(downstream/upstream)

SO according to the site I should be getting something between 4Mbit and 6Mbit as my 50.0 downstream attenuation falls between these two values (48.3db and 56db) and my router confirms that with the 4624Kbps Max rate downstream, Now I'm really confused, does my line really only handle 1Mbps or I'm missing something here :/
Go to the nearest Ogero resale offices, ask them about your distance to the closest fiber optic end or ask for a fiber optic deployement map or the closest cabinet to your home that has fiber, and then compare that distance by the one calculated by your router. If there's a difference (more than 10% for inaccuracy) then you might have something stalling your connection which probably is electrical interference.

1000km?! I think we all qualify then!

I sense sarcasm but i'm gonna correct him anyway, he means 1000m
