There is a lot of VDSL2+ modems available. Most of them >$100
But there are some cheap tplink modems like the td-w9970 model which costs $40-$50
Ahmad Toutounji wroteIs there any cheap vdsl2 modems here in lebanon?
I searched many stores, vdsl modems is not available everywhere, only found it through top technologies. The cheapest one i found is the tplink vr400 $135.
It sucks that we don't have lebanese online shopping sites or home addresses. This is a problem for online shopping since they can't deliver things to your home directly
I'm interested in Vdsl aswell but Mr. Kreidieh was very vague about this subject and I suspect it involves several visits to the central :/

Like when I wanted to updrade to 8mbps package I went and asked for it and they said they had to test my line and let me know in 1-2 weeks. so after 2 months of going/calling them there was no news untill I gave up on the subject lol. I hope we wont face similar situations anymore.
Guys check idm and cyberia website it says "new plans coming soon adsl" and a very very good news my friend asked cyberia if unlimited night will still be available, THEY SAID YES
pcandparts have on their website:
Asus DSL-AC68U Dual-Band Wireless-AC1900 Gigabit ADSL/VDSL Modem Router

but it's out of stock, and I asked them, but they said "Dear, We have no information on ETA for now"
If cyberia said that the unlimited night will stay is true, then ogero just lost a customer
Ahmad Toutounji wroteIf cyberia said that the unlimited night will stay is true, then ogero just lost a customer
+1 wise lost a customer!
Not me, I'd rather stay with Ogero, already used Cyberia for years, and they are crap
Any news about mobile data price reductions and offers?
Don't ever leave OGERO. You will be subjected to Fair Use Policy which will definitly cause your speed to go down after reaching a certain limit. OGERO doesn't have FUP.
Think twice before switching from ogero to another ISP. The quality you will receive from ogero will be much better and it is very stable. Open speed means open speed with ogero. Private ISPs may limit the speed we are receiving and dont forget about fup. I am with terranet and starting from afternoon every day my speed can barely reach 512 Kbps in best case scenario, and at 2-3 AM it gets back to normal.

AVOlio wroteI did physically connect the Wan port of the Tenda router to one of the lan ports on Thomson.
I tried DHCP mode on the Tenda, didn't work. Tried static ip didn't work, tries pppoe also, and didn't work (maybe my credentials are wrong idk).
Only when my pc was connected by lan to Tenda router I had Internet connection, the WiFi network on it had no Internet.
Wifi on Thomson has Internet as always.

Also yes, when u connected the Tenda by lan to the Thomson, they gateway of the Tenda changed to 192.168.2.xx instead of 192.168.1.xx automatically but still didn't work.
Any guides?
I have a similar setup, but I use the Tenda router to extend the connection to the rest of the house. A couple of things to try: first the obvious, make sure that the wireless is enabled on your router. There is a checkbox on the wireless tab to enable it. Secondly, reset the modem to its default settings and see if it works then. Do not use a PPPOE or any other credentials and use it initially as a WAP instead of bridge mode.

All you want to do first is to get the wireless going and then start playing around with the other settings.
I've actually tried to set that up something similar before. I already had a TP-link TD-W8968 as the Wifi modem, and i decided to try the old Thomson TG585v7 provided originally by IDM as a range extender/access point.
So i connected a 15 m ethernet cable from the Lan1 port of the TP-link to the Lan1 port also of the Thomson. I set up the Thomson in Bridge mode, disabled DHCP, and set up the Wifi security. The usual IP to access the thomson interface is 192.168.1.254, so i added this as its static IP on the TP-link (its IP range is 192.168.1.100-192.168.1.254). After this set up, if i connect to the thomson Wifi, i can access its interface but there is no internet connectivity. Through the TP link wifi, i can acess its interface (192.168.1.1) as well as the thomson interface (192.168.1.254) and the internet connectivity is active. I figure that i still need a further step or two to enable internet connectivity through the Thomson Wifi as well, so that i can have it as a working second access point.
On a further note, when i tried to connect my internet receiver to the thomson through a lan cable (connected to Lan2 of the thomson), i lost internet connectivity also on the original TP-link wifi (No internet connecvtivity at all through the whole setup). Can anyone make any conclusions about the further steps to make the system work?

I am an IDM user and have been using unlimited night traffic for ages, neven been FUPed (My plan 4 MB/50 GB)
download tons of Gigs every month...normal speed, everything is perfect !
Ogero must return the unlimited night traffic...at least for some plans, or for some additional cost !
Who want it...take it! simply

Same... but on a 6mbps/60gb per month. I download around 15gb daily at night since years, and I have never been FUPed.

Same here but not 15gb per night.
Though perhaps with the new open speeds they will be obliged to FUP, personally I wouldn't mind if it's a logical 200 to 300gb per month
it would be a great option to make night quota only limited to 200gb or 300gb for Cyberia and idm
nuclearcat wroteThey need to bring hardware to CO first, you can try asking, when they will install VDSL2+ capable DSLAM in your CO.
If am not sure if they installed any in Lebanon yet.
You don't need VPlus (300mbit/s) which is 2015 technology, remember we are in Lebanon, we can't use 2015 tech yet. On the other hand, VDSL2 is enough bandwidth (100mbit/s) to cover the fastest possible consumer internet to be provided (50mbit/s) until the next change in prices in the future, unless they choose to provide more than 50mbit/s.
