There is a lot of VDSL2+ modems available. Most of them >$100
But there are some cheap tplink modems like the td-w9970 model which costs $40-$50

I searched many stores, vdsl modems is not available everywhere, only found it through top technologies. The cheapest one i found is the tplink vr400 $135.Ahmad Toutounji wroteIs there any cheap vdsl2 modems here in lebanon?
+1 wise lost a customer!Ahmad Toutounji wroteIf cyberia said that the unlimited night will stay is true, then ogero just lost a customer
I've actually tried to set that up something similar before. I already had a TP-link TD-W8968 as the Wifi modem, and i decided to try the old Thomson TG585v7 provided originally by IDM as a range extender/access point.xazbrat wroteI have a similar setup, but I use the Tenda router to extend the connection to the rest of the house. A couple of things to try: first the obvious, make sure that the wireless is enabled on your router. There is a checkbox on the wireless tab to enable it. Secondly, reset the modem to its default settings and see if it works then. Do not use a PPPOE or any other credentials and use it initially as a WAP instead of bridge mode.AVOlio wroteI did physically connect the Wan port of the Tenda router to one of the lan ports on Thomson.
I tried DHCP mode on the Tenda, didn't work. Tried static ip didn't work, tries pppoe also, and didn't work (maybe my credentials are wrong idk).
Only when my pc was connected by lan to Tenda router I had Internet connection, the WiFi network on it had no Internet.
Wifi on Thomson has Internet as always.
Also yes, when u connected the Tenda by lan to the Thomson, they gateway of the Tenda changed to 192.168.2.xx instead of 192.168.1.xx automatically but still didn't work.
Any guides?
All you want to do first is to get the wireless going and then start playing around with the other settings.
I am an IDM user and have been using unlimited night traffic for ages, neven been FUPed (My plan 4 MB/50 GB)alifawaz99 wroteDon't ever leave OGERO. You will be subjected to Fair Use Policy which will definitly cause your speed to go down after reaching a certain limit. OGERO doesn't have FUP.

Same... but on a 6mbps/60gb per month. I download around 15gb daily at night since years, and I have never been FUPed.

You don't need VPlus (300mbit/s) which is 2015 technology, remember we are in Lebanon, we can't use 2015 tech yet. On the other hand, VDSL2 is enough bandwidth (100mbit/s) to cover the fastest possible consumer internet to be provided (50mbit/s) until the next change in prices in the future, unless they choose to provide more than 50mbit/s.nuclearcat wroteThey need to bring hardware to CO first, you can try asking, when they will install VDSL2+ capable DSLAM in your CO.
If am not sure if they installed any in Lebanon yet.
